    “Ah, I am talking to my catfish.”

    “What do you mean, your catfish?” Ilya angles the phone so Sveta can see the shirtless picture on the screen.

    “This guy is pretending to be Shane Hollander on Grindr. It’s pretty funny. He’s cropped the face out, but he’s using pictures from the billboard next to my apartment.”

    Or: Ilya Rozanov is sure he's being catfished- why would the real Shane Hollander be on Grindr, talking to random university of Ottawa students? But the more he talks to Wayne, the more he starts to like him, and the more he wishes Wayne would just come clean so they can finally be together.

    Ilya points at her "Exactly like princess! yes," He bites his lip, looking at Shane with an expression of pure delight. "Moya krasivaya printsessa"

    Shane drops his face into his hands "I do not-" he forgets all about his pretend voice and lets out a long groan instead. The tips of his ears have already turned bright red.

    Jade frowns "it wasn't about you, Jane?"
    "No," Ruby joins "it's Lily's husband, silly" she shakes her head.

    Or: Shane and Ilya babysit the Pike kids. There are tea parties, pancakes, and (much to Hayden's dismay) the children learn Russian.

    “Nah, man, she’d kill you,” J. J. says, which is probably true.

    Shane shrugs. “That sounds like a straight people problem.”

    Hayden is truly glad that the times of Shane torturing himself by being in the closet are over. But. Well. This conversation is kind of making him miss those days.

    Finally, after everything, Shane is a happily married man. Incredibly happily married. It only becomes a problem once he thinks it qualifies him to dispense relationship advice.

    Or, five times Shane gives relationship advice his friends disagree with, and one time he doesn’t.
