She knew how their little game worked – she pretended to not have done whatever he’d arrested her for this time, he pretended to actually want to charge her for it, and they both tried their hardest not to let anyone see that they enjoyed their banter far more than they would ever be willing to admit.
This time, it was different. Graves sat down at the table across from her, looked at her from cold dark eyes. “This will be a lot easier for you if you start talking, Miss Kingsley.” he said coolly.

Fill for this prompt on the Kink Meme:
Newt's dislike to looking someone in the eye and his aversion to human touch (that is not part of his family) is the result of someone playing an ugly prank on him when he was little. It's also the main reason that Theseus Scamander is a huge momma bear concerning all matters related to Newt.
After Graves is found and healed, he gets to know Newt a little better and falls in love. He quickly realises that Newt has been hurt in the past even without the constant messages from Theseus that hell is going to rain down on anyone in MACUSA even looking the wrong way at Newt.
I want to see Percival slowly gaining Newt's trust, then becoming part of his family and after months of careful wooing finally having his personal happy end.
Bonus: Newt has been in love with Graves for years hearing tales from his brother. The incident with Grindelwald was a huge blow to his ego until he realised that it wasn't Graves. Still he's too shy to make any first move towards the real Graves that is more than friendship.

It was not unlike looking into the eyes of a hippogriff, at first; there was pride, and charm in Graves’s dark eyes, and an arrogant need to dominate. Newt fought his instinct to look away and tried not to blink, to let the creature know it could trust him. But the longer he held Graves’s eyes, the more deeply disturbing he felt the experience.

Summary
The first thing Percival Graves does after being released back into the world is buy a new wand. The Aurors recovered his ebony wand from Grindelwald but Graves can’t even look at it, let alone pick it up. He goes to Greymalkin’s the minute he’s let out of the hospital and tries half a dozen wands. Some spark, a few smoke, but only one really works. The wand that chooses him is raw aspen, whiter than bone and so rough that Graves gives himself a splinter conjuring up a storm of brilliant red birds.
Greymalkin eyes the wand distrustfully. “Eleven and a half inches,” he says, sounding sour. “With a dragon heartstring core. One of Ollivander’s. Shoddy work, if you ask me.”
The wand hums against his fingertips. Graves buys it, tucks it up under his sleeve, and keeps it there, splinters and all, until he manages to fall into a fitful sleep later that night.
The second thing Graves does is quit his job, because honestly.
The third thing Graves does is get jumped by Credence Barebone in an alley.

2005: Colin is shooting Miami Vice and is at rock bottom. Alexander was a failure. He's burnt out, lonely, addicted to drugs. His secret on-off relationship with Jared, which continued after Alexander, has become complicated, especially since Jared's band released their 2nd album A beautiful Lie. It draws heavily on the experiences of filming Alexander and is therefore about Colin. Jared tours the USA non-stop and wants to gain recognition as a musician. This is his priority, even as Colin's condition becomes unstable. Things escalate during the record breaking Hurricane season that year.
