Grace knows he was supposed to be in his house on Erid, Simon knows this new guy cannot possibly be a hallucination, and Ava, upon hearing Grace ramble about theories for how he got there, knows that new guy is Smart. Summary
In the weeks following the arrival at Erid, Grace has a lot of things to get used to. The Eridians are peculiar, the temperature onboard is parallel to his worst nightmare, and Rocky is away most of the time. He understands that Rocky’s time is best spent in other places than in his arms– perhaps best spent catching up with Adrian. Even so he can’t help but yearn for his mate. Even more so he can’t help but yearn for Adrian’s approval, too, but the plan was to ease Adrian (and all of Erid) into the news of their mating gently.
Yet things just can’t seem to ever go as planned.
One day, Rocky doesn’t show up, and as soon as Grace hears why… Oh. He won’t have it. On that day, Grace puts on his EVA suit and decides it’s time for a rescue mission. It doesn't matter that he might burn for it.
Or: Rocky gets sent to jail and Grace does all the stupid shit he shouldn’t to get Adrian and Rocky reunited… again.

“I can’t be a single parent,” Jack mumbles, almost quiet enough that if Robby wasn’t hypervigilant, it would have been lost in the sound of the elevator moving.
“You’re not alone, Jack. You got Grace.” He replies. And then, quietly, because he isn’t sure he wants this last part to be heard, he says, “You have me.”

"I'm just saying you need to be realistic, Mike," Jack says. "Sarah gives me a chance at a real life—a family."
Robby closes his eyes, willing the tears away. There's so much he wants to say—why do you still live with me, then? Why aren't you at her place? He bites the words back. "And I don't? Being with me isn't a real life?"
The worst part is that he knows exactly what Jack means; he gets it, he really does.
"What do you want us to do, huh? Live as roommates for the rest of our lives and have our families pester us about finding wives? We can't even get fucking married!"
"Times are changing." Maybe if he says it out loud, that will make progress speed up. "It won't be like this forever."
