Ilya hums, playing the card he's been considering for this entire conversation. “We could make more interesting, yes? A bet.”
“A bet,” Shane repeats, eyes flashing. “Like what?”
The reporter cuts in. “What about wearing the other player’s jersey?”
They both turn to her, and Shane says, “Like, the loser wears the winner’s jersey?”
“Maybe at the next game in a couple of months?”
“Is a good idea,” Ilya muses, nudging Shane’s elbow. “You will look better in my jersey than in Montreal jersey.”
Shane makes a low noise, his eyes holding a bit of a spark when he looks back to Ilya. It’s what Ilya was hoping for—the tiniest crack in the mask. He can see a hint of exasperated affection around the corners of Shane’s eyes, a little bit of fire burning just beneath the surface. It sends a thrill down Ilya’s spine, and he wonders if Shane will be snarky when Ilya gets him naked tonight.
“That’s not happening,” Shane replies, shaking his head. “Because you’re not winning.”

“And yet you haven’t snitched.” Jason says.
“And please don't snitch.” Dick follows it up with.
“I won’t… yet. I’m curious about the Joker as well, since I, and possibly Drake, are the only Robins to never encounter him.” Dick and Jason nod at this.
There’s only a handful of files left, before he finally gets to the most recent one.

"If you'll excuse me," Selina purrs when the crowd gets too thick in one place at the back of the room. They're the most unsavory here, the ones she knows to be the ones with the least scruples. The ones she hates the most, because they cross the lines too often.
They stare at her, some of them, wondering what she's doing here. Most of them are too busy, cheering and laughing and making vicious jokes that Selina doesn't exactly get about whatever's going on in the center of the crowd. She sets her jaw and elbows them aside where she has to, forcing her way to the front where she can see.
If she had been holding a champagne glass, it would crash to her feet now. Not for dramatic effect, but with sheer horror.
And it would land at the edge of a puddle of blood, the shards scattering around a pair of shiny black wingtip shoes.
Or: Catwoman finds a baby bird beneath Arkham Asylum.

Summary
Jason’s head is still spinning, he’s still cold and his body is still hurting, but at least he can breathe. His body is slowly returning back to life, like bulbs slowly turning on in a long hallway. His heart speeds up, which is a common reaction once he wakes up, like trying to make up for the time it stopped. The numbness slowly leaves his body, and he can move his hands and legs again, but he doesn’t want to.
His vision clears, no longer tinted green, and there is saliva in his mouth again. His lungs slowly stretch.
He sees… Bruce. Shit.
He really, really didn’t want Bruce to see him like this. Let alone the rest of his batkids.
Or, dying and being brutally dragged back to life has horrifying side effects, which Jason really wants to keep hidden from the Batfamily. Until one day, he can't.
Inspired on a Tumblr prompt, details inside. No beta, we die like Jason but don't come back.
