“Seungmin-ah, I have thought about this for weeks, maybe months. And I don’t want to say this, I really don’t, but I think something isn’t working. I think maybe we just don’t work. Maybe it’s the timing, maybe we need to grow, but I can’t do this anymore.”
When the words left Minho’s mouth, Seungmin didn’t feel a thing. Nothing. He just stared, a small tremor in his hands the only thing giving away his fear.

“Did you see the trailer for that new movie? We could go see it if you want.”
A man's voice filters through the telephone speaker but Seungmin doesn’t recognize it, swiveling to look over his shoulder as if he could find the culprit.
“Jisung-ah?” the voice asks and Seungmin comes back to himself, posture straightening as he clears his throat.
“No, sorry,” he says, wincing a little at how reedy his voice sounds. “I think you might have the wrong number.”
“Ah,” the man replies. “Well, do you want to see it with me then? Invitation’s open.”(or Minho keeps calling the wrong number and Seungmin keeps answering despite it all)

“That’s not true” Seungmin said wiping angrily at his cheeks. “People think that being unpresented at my age is like a disease. Like there’s something wrong with me.”

His eyes were unfocused.
“Hey,” Minho whispered, fear bleeding through. “Do you hear me, my love?” He swallowed hard. “We’re going down. We’ll rest. You’ll be okay. You’ll be strong for me, baby.” His voice broke. “I can’t lose you.”

Minho laughs then, the sound bubbling dry and hoarse from the depths of his throat. He lifts his bleeding hand, and Seungmin’s eyes latch to limb in horror. Minho shakes his head.
“No,” he says, and his eyes are wet again. “Here.” He presses the hand to his chest, to the cavernous hole that hides behind layers of clothing and skin. “Here. Hurts here, Seungmin.”

Minho definitely got it alright, but it seems they were still both off track. Because Seungmin hadn't thought Minho would take it literally.
"Fuck. Hyung, why didn't you say anything?"
"What the hell was I supposed to say?! I thought these past few months, I thought today, would have given you enough of an idea?!" Minho exclaims. "I mean, seriously, Kim Seungmin. Who the hell introduces someone like that? Especially someone whom you have been longing for and yearning after for years? The person who stays at your house after work, who cooks for you, who—" Minho stops, takes a deep breath, and goes, "Who wants to care for you."
Seungmin falls under the weather, and a surprise visit from Minho turns into something more.
