Izuku stared up at the small, practically miniscule building sandwiched between two other buildings. The building wasn't dilapidated or anything – in fact, it looked recently renovated – but it was, for lack of a better word, plain. Izuku knew much about looking plain, and he could safely say it wasn't a very good thing to be.
“You’re sure, Ochaco?”
or: Katsuki is the owner of a failing restaurant. Izuku is a well-known food critic. And he’s determined to save this restaurant.

Summary
Izuku was enjoying a rare and surprisingly quiet evening in the emergency department. They’d had the usual litany of drunks, elderly falls, and kids having shoved something up their nose that really didn’t belong there, but on the whole it had been a relatively easy night.
That all changed with the arrival of what seemed to be an entire squadron of police escorting several men in handcuffs through the ER doors.

Izuku is a doctor, and Katsuki is a police officer. Their paths cross in ER one night, and both can admit there is definitely attraction there. But then Katsuki ends up becoming one of Izuku's patients, and everything starts to change.

It's silent for a few beats. Katsuki feels like his stomach is about to lurch and empty his lunch. Just as he’s about to backtrack, Izuku finally replies.
“Of course Kacchan.” His smile is so bright Katsuki feels blind. His heart skips a few beats and a smile starts to tug at his face.
“Who are you practicing a date for?” Izuku asks. Katsuki feels his stomach and heart drop. He can feel his eye twitching. This fucking idiot…

Katsuki looks over at him completely deadpan, not even bothering to stop his stroll, “Really. You think you can cook?”
Of course. Katsuki only heard that part of Izuku’s ramble.
“Okay, so I can sorta cook,” Izuku mumbles as he frowns and wrinkles his nose at Katsuki, but it comes out as more of a pout than he means to.
“Pinocchio, your nose get any fucking bigger and you’re gonna poke people in the eye with that shit,” Katsuki rolls his eyes, but his signature smirk grows bigger on his face.
Izuku lets out a snort, “You’re the actual worst, Kacch—Oh! We’re here!”
OR
Love is not always a grand confession that you dramatically fall face-first into under the pouring rain (although, in BKDK’s case it is). Sometimes, it’s finding the ripest pear on sale for your hero partner while your adopted cat is being a shit-head.
Four times Katsuki silently shows he cares and one time Izuku finally gets the message loud and fucking clear. It’s tooth-rotting fluff... eventually... And gay I swear! Enjoy it!
