A few across his cheekbone, beneath his tattoo, several at his chin, a nastier rope of one slashed through the bridge of his nose. And the one Jeremy always fixes on, the slip of skin across his sharp little cupid’s bow, disturbing skin blushed pink with a raised line that Jeremy wants to run his thumb over, and then his own lips.
Jean Moreau is a regular at Jeremy’s cafe on top of being his next door neighbor. That doesn’t mean Jeremy’s been able to move beyond pining at a distance. Until now.

Jean didn't go back to France. He's technically not allowed. Ichirou told him that despite his useless nature, he still owns Jean. His family sold him to the Moriyamas and unless Ichirou has a son, Jean won't be free until Ichirou is dead. If Ichirou is dead, there's a good chance Jean will be too.
The change in professional sport to medical school was a heavy blow. Jean moved to South Carolina, away from Evermore, and Kevin housed him with the other two ratbags he picked up. Though, Andrew is probably the one with his hands screwed up in the scruffs of Kevin and Neil's necks. Since then, Jean has spent the last handful of years studying to be a doctor in America.
In which Jean becomes a doctor after Riko's death, lives in limbo on whether Ichirou will kill him and moves to Alabama to meet Jeremy Knox, the town's handyman and ex-sporting star.
