Summary
“Depends,” Eddie says after a short beat.
Eager as ever, Buck pushes to his elbows. “On?”
Fingers skate over the inside of his thigh, teasing, light. “On if you can get it up more than once.”
Without blinking, Buck answers, “I can come six times in a night.”
Eddie chokes on his own spit, fingers tightening over his thigh. “Sorry— six?”
Cheeks pink with pride, Buck grins. “Why? You one and done these days, old man?”
“You call me old man again…” Eddie begins, wrapping his fingers around Buck’s cock and stroking it with a loose fist, base to tip. “...And I’m kicking you outta my truck and going back to drinks with your subordinates, Buck.”
Panic flares. Buck’s hand snaps out, jeopardising his balance. His fingers find Eddie’s forearm, gripping tight enough that his nails will leave marks on the inside of Eddie’s arm. “Don’t.”

Eddie simply cannot know that he is currently naked. That would be catastrophic.
“Um, I— did you need anything? I’m kind of in the middle of something,” Buck says, which. Okay. That did not sound convincing. He adds, “I can call you back in ten?”
“I thought you just woke up?” Eddie says, and, fuck— Buck did basically say that.
Carefully, he says, “I did.”
“So what were you—?”
God, this is mortifying. This might be the worst thing that’s ever happened to Buck, and he’s been caught in, like, four natural disasters. And also struck by lightning. And had a fire engine fall on him. He even dated (he shudders at the thought) Tommy Kinard.
“Eddie,” he says. He doesn’t know what else to say.
“What? If you need to pee you can just mute yourself.”
“Eddie, that’s not—”
“Then what?” Eddie laughs. “If you’re still in bed, you can’t ha— oh.”
Or: Buck answers the phone in the middle of jerking off. For some reason, Eddie asks him not to hang up.

Summary
Carmy lights a cigarette, takes a slow drag, then exhales a cloud of smoke into the cool air before sitting down at the picnic table near the door.
Behind him he can hear the muffled sounds of Eva's birthday party coming from the restaurant.
It had all started to feel like a little too much, so he had to step out for a minute. But surprisingly it wasn't because he was starting to have a panic attack. In fact, while he was standing in the restaurant surrounded by his friends and family, he realized he loved those people so much it felt like his chest was going to burst. He's never felt anything like this before.
Unfortunately, it only makes his dilemma about the internship worse.
He'd been convinced leaving this industry was the only way forward. A clean break. The start of something new. But when he started talking about the shitshow of a service during the interview, he'd caught himself having second thoughts. Because he realized that for the first time in a long time, he enjoyed doing this work again.
And most of all, he enjoys working under Sydney.
