“You know how I’m a dragonlord?”
“Yes?” Merlin fidgeted and Arthur swallowed when he felt Merlin was half-hard against his thigh. Oh. So it was one of those kinds of spells.
“Well, according to legend, dragonlords contain the spirit of their dragon kin, which allows them to communicate with them. But–” he continued, when Arthur looked unimpressed, “with a certain spell, a dragonlord can summon his own dragon spirit and manifest it in physical form.”
“Merlin,” Arthur began with raised brows, “I have absolutely no idea what you’re trying to tell me.”
“I can become part dragon, Arthur.”
Or,
Merlin gets a dragon cock and Arthur is absolutely whipped for it.

Summary
When Arthur finds out about Merlin’s magic, he banishes him on the spot and sends him back to Ealdor. Well, at least that’s what everybody thinks.
The truth is that Arthur just wants Merlin to be safe, and far away from Camelot, where Uther is becoming more and more ruthless. So, he secretly asks Gwaine to go back to Ealdor with Merlin, to keep an eye on him and make sure he is all right.
Or
Gwaine was just looking forward to spending his spring nights at the tavern, flirting and drinking ale. Instead he now has to juggle between a heartbroken, besotted, overdramatic warlock, and a stubborn, protective, and emotionally constipated prince. Just his luck. His only solution: quickly find a way to bring the two idiots together.

But Arthur already had someone at his side, someone he loved more than life itself, and who was insolent, and stubborn, and the best person Arthur knew. How could anyone expect him to let go of Merlin for some stranger he’d never even met?Or: Arthur's life is finally going well. He's been crowned king, repealed the magic ban, successfully romanced his manservant-turned-Court-Sorcerer, and now he's fixing Camelot's relationship with the druids. Summary
Prompt (story diverges from this)
Arthur is being tested.A sorcerer makes a few dozen copies of Merlin.
Sorcerer: if you're really that good of a king, then you'll figure out who the real one is.
Arthur thinks it's easy. But all of these Merlin's seem to have a quirk of Merlin's intensified. It makes things difficult, because Merlin has days when he acts exactly like that.
Only one thing he knows for sure. It's definitely not the one who just defeated one of the other Merlin's with magic.
Excerpt:
Arthur reached for his sword, just in case. “What do you want me to do? Figure out which the real Merlin is?”“Exactly.” The mercenary’s eyes glinted with mischief and he suddenly looked much more like a threat. “These Merlin’s have been designed, based on YOUR thoughts about him,”
Arthur immediately flushed

Summary
“Alright,” Lucifer says, turning back to the counter to take the next customer’s order, “And what can I get started for yo—”
His smile pulls tight and uncomfortable across his face, surely looking more akin to a grimace than anything resembling the simple joy that was present only moments before.
Not him again…
“Do you typically take this long to acknowledge a customer, or are you just feeling especially inadequate today?” Alastor’s voice is irritatingly soothing, full of an easy confidence that Lucifer would love to say is misplaced—but, frustratingly, he can’t.
The man has been coming here for the better part of three months. Danced in on a breeze from out of town, some sort of up-and-coming audio engineer trying to wiggle his way into the recording booth, from what Lucifer had been able to gather.
Innocent. Innocuous.
It wasn’t something he’d normally have any issue with and, though their first meeting in the café hadn’t exactly been warm and fuzzy, it wasn’t outright hostile, either. There was something off about him that Lucifer couldn’t quite put a finger on—until the bodies started piling up.
