Summary
Dunk, an omega too large and too strong to ever be suspected of being one, was riding for Ashford when he felt his heat coming on. He drank a serum to delay it, enough to last to the end of the tourney — had he not crossed paths with a young unmated alpha who smelled of tar, smoke, and blood: Aerion Targaryen.
During the Trial of Seven, Dunk fought through pain and fever; but when he found himself one-on-one with Aerion, he knew the prince had caught his scent. It distracted the young dragon long enough for Dunk to land the blow that made him yield. The victory tasted bitter and dishonest, though, and there was no way for Dunk to explain himself without bringing worse trouble on his own head. He needs to leave.
And just as he means to, the wind brings him the smell of tar, smoke, and blood.

Rocky younger than Adrian, even." He shifts on three of his feet. Already, my mind is racing ahead, wondering -- "Doctors told Rocky to ask Grace, is this radiation side effect, question?"

(A more indepth telling of the trial from my previous work "pray for me")
Had honor been killed by greed? Had there even been honor to begin with?
A small part of him answered with the smell of rot, dirty bodies, shit, and blood. The mark of flea bottom on his soul. The mark of poverty. Any one of these lords or so called noble knights could stand up and fight or even just say something. Yet here they all sat, it wouldn't put a copper in their pocket to be good, thus, it was of no importance to them.
They made him sick.
The whole fucking lot of them. These were people that controlled vast swaths of land that were home to so many. Did they laugh at the plight of the small folks that depended on them or was it only him and his cause that was laughable?
The questions clawed at the inside of his skull, leaving tracts like a wagon on soft dirt.
‘Has the realm truly fallen this far?’

“If you touch my sister again,” he had said to Aegor, quite calmly, looking around Ser Quentyn’s restraining arm, “I will kill you.”
Maera had always loved her brother, but after that day she had worshipped him, almost shamelessly.
