Luz beamed and lifted King up by the armpits, standing from the couch and twirling him around a couple of times. But then without warning she brought her mouth to his stomach and blew a raspberry onto it, making the maniacal demon squeal with laughter.
“And I was so looking forward to kissing you,” a familiar voice said sadly.
Luz gasped gleefully and let go of King, who dropped to the floor with a surprised “Weh!” The human turned to face the spot where Amity’s face used to be.
She blinked in confusion. And then she looked up.
