Summary

Everything went downhill with the death of Leigh. Her relationship with her father was barely there to begin with, and her mental health was still existing in the void she called life. Now, with no mother, she’s fighting a state of limbo. She is caught between wanting to stay for the people around her and staring at the dark void of the people who want her gone.
Rafe Cameron is the complete opposite. Barely graduating high school with a C average, he competes for the love of the people around him whom he cares for the most. Three years off the island and Kiara still doesn't know what she was running from, only that it didn't work. She's back now. The restaurant, her parents' sighs, the Pogues sliding into another job nobody can afford to lose. She tells herself she's just here to help. She's not sure that's true.
Rafe never left. He's running Ward's business these days, same temper, same habit of fixing things with his fists first. Sofia's around, filling space, but she doesn't touch whatever's actually wrong with him. Then he hears Kiara's back, and god knows the old paranoia flares right up.
Their paths don't cross much at first. Kiara's dealing with JJ's looks that linger too long and John B's newest mess.
Rafe's dealing with his father, with Sofia, with the feeling that nothing he has actually fixes anything.Until something occurs..
