Summary
Tav spoke in a quiet, husky voice, “I asked you for a dance once, do you remember? At the tiefling party, after we disposed of the goblins.”
“I remember,” Zevlor answered slowly, but then paused.
“You turned me down. Why?” She watched him in earnest, afraid of his answer, but needing it anyway. She leaned forward until their legs touched under the table. Her eyes desperately searched his face, needing him to look at her.
“Gods, Tav,” he said hoarsely. Even his tail drooped slightly. “You are so young and I’m an old, broken paladin–”
“Zevlor,” she interrupted with a stern brow and a frown. Her hand covered his again and stroked the back of it with her thumb. “You are not old and you are certainly not broken.”
The tiefling seemed to stop breathing as he stared at her hand on his. “You don’t understand…”
Tav tilted her head in confusion. Her other hand reached under the table to lay on his thigh. “Then help me to understand.”

Summary
"I kissed you, and even the dark turned gentle for a while."
Bernadette is a 34-year-old Midwestern retail manager who just wanted a quiet Friday night with her Bath & Body Works candle, her current BG3 playthrough, and her vampire smut.
Instead, a cursed journal yanks her into Baldur’s Gate. She expects to be dead in an hour.
What she doesn’t expect is that the game lied.
Cazador Szarr isn’t the cartoon villain she spent hundreds of hours hating. He’s a traumatized Kozakuran warlock bound by a devil’s pact, quietly culling the worst of the city to buy back his soul. And Astarion? The tragic elf she romanced on every playthrough? He’s a corrupt, narcissistic libertine who built his own cage.
Now at the epicenter of Cazador’s centuries-old Faustian endgame, Bernadette has to survive a palace full of feral vampire spawn, navigate the cutthroat politics of the Upper City, and most dangerously, stop herself from falling for the very monster the game told her to destroy.

Summary
I still dont like it, but…" Zevlor trailed off, placing her bags into the room furthest from the stairs. She followed, grasping his gauntleted hand. "Thank you," she insisted, treasuring the way the wrinkle between his brows eased for a moment.
It returned with a heavy sigh from his lips. "Gods above, don't thank me. This place is barely passable for a regular traveler, much less your—" she watched him nearly bite through his tongue to keep her title from his lips.

Summary
When red lyrium starts appearing in the streets of Thedas, it doesn’t just corrupt; it makes its users rabid. Ivy “Rook” Ingellvar is on a deadline to find the source before the sickness spreads. But her past won’t stay buried, and the people Varric holds close start showing their secrets.
Emmrich Volkarin should be the safest man to stand beside, a rare necromancer with iron control and a gaze that never looks away. Necromancers are scarce, and the bonds they form are rarer still, old magic that clings, claims, and refuses to let go. As the trail tightens, protection blurs into possession, and Rook must decide what she’ll sacrifice to stop the red and what she’s willing to surrender to the man following her every step.

Summary
After Rook is murdered, Emmrich Volkarin seeks revenge against those responsible. And unfortunately for Johanna Hezenkoss, she's compelled to accompany him.
-
The sacrifices. The unremitting toil. The distress to the mind, body, and spirit. All for the sake of Thedas, for their life in communion once the Veil had been sealed. To have had Rook taken so violently in yet another act of selflessness. Of course she couldn’t have just stood idly by. Of course she would’ve charged straight towards peril, lacking any prudence. Of course Emmrich had foolishly assumed her heroics had terminated, that she had left that part of herself behind, floating aimlessly in the Lighthouse’s ceaseless orbit. And what benefits did her sacrifice bring forth this time? No more than a handful of mortals saved, the rest perishing, and the murderers still at liberty. A waste, the capricious fingers of fate always squeezing, taking, having never released their grip from Rook’s neck.
