Barry is waiting in the entryway of their house when Hal gets home, still dressed in the same pajamas he’d been wearing this morning.
“The aliens are hiring tomorrow.” he informs Hal. “Be there. You’ll look better in green than brown.”
“The aliens are hiring, got it.” Hal placates, used to his husband’s oddness. “Anything else?”
“We’re out of spicy ramen.” Without another word, Barry turns and walks back up the stairs.
Barry had been perfectly normal up until his lab accident four years ago, but the accident changed that. Despite being largely unharmed physically, mentally he lives in his own dream world that is only somewhat grounded in the real world.
There’s no medical grounds to institutionalize him- he’s 28, he can take care of himself, he has no other chronic health conditions and he’s not a risk to himself or others, just…weird.

Summary
Barry hates the Justice League interrogation rooms. They’re always so chilly, and the seats are cheap plastic seemingly manufactured from backaches.
It’s even worse when they’re on the prisoner’s side, in the prisoner’s cuffs, and the most anyone has done to tell them why they’re here is hand them a blood-covered knife, tell them to examine their guilt, then leave them there for three hours(as far as they can tell).
“So, let’s go over the facts. Batman is dead, because someone was able to identify a seam in his neck armor, and stabbed a seven-inch knife into his throat, all before he could throw the batarang in his hand.” Superman lists off. “The knife in question is identical to one which I have seen you, Flash, holding several times. It has your fingerprints on it. You do realize which way the evidence is pointing, right?”
Barry remains impassive. “Diana showed me the knife. It’s a Cold Steel Recon Scout, not a custom one-of-a-kind knife. They make them in factory quantities, and sell them to the general public- literally anyone could have bought one if they have five hundred dollars spare. I hardly see how that’s hard evidence.”

Barry Garrick wakes up nestled against their twin brother Eobard on May 15th, 1983, age 8 and best friends with Clark Kent, who lives just down the road.
This is an ordinary occurrence, just as it has been for most of the last two million or so times this sort of thing happened.

Summary
Sasakia is a Vigilante Informant based in Musutafu and not affiliated with any agency or group. Despite the large number of cases he’s been involved in, no one has ever met him in person. Instead, he feeds information to heroes and police through the use of telepathy via glowing yellow and purple butterflies. He’s a highly valued anonymous source, though there are a few Underground Heroes who are looking into his true identity.
Midoriya Izuku is a shy but friendly quirkless student aiming to join UA’s Management Course to become a Quirk Profiler for a Hero Agency. (Limelight or Underground, he’s not very picky.) He dutifully attends school, takes self-defense classes at the local gym alongside his mother, and never goes anywhere without his lucky butterfly brooch.
Despite both having a vested interest in Heroes and their success and both living in the same area, there are no other visible connections between them. And that is exactly how Izuku and Nooroo want things to stay.
But something is stirring in Musutafu and making it very difficult for the young wielder of the Butterfly Miraculous to keep his lives separate and secret.
Izuku just hopes he doesn’t end up in prison at the end of the line.

Summary
After his dream is finally crushed, Izuku isn’t quite sure there’s anything left for him to live for, but...he can’t exactly kill himself either, not without hurting the people he cares the most about. So, when he realizes that the quirkless can’t technically be vigilantes, it seems like the best of both worlds. He’ll be able to save people even without being a hero and, if he happens to die while he’s at it...well, like Kacchan said, maybe he’d be born with a quirk in the next life.
