But all he can think is that it's the second time today that Gaal has shocked him. Shocked him, moreover, to a degree, to a depth of himself, exposing some part of him, that no one has in a very long time, perhaps not since—
TL;DR: Gaal and Hari start fooling around in the weeks before they leave Trantor.
