In which Varian is executed. Or- at least he should have been. Turns out he's immortal, and now has to deal with all the fallout of not only his attempted (and successful, though only for a moment) execution, but also the effects of his time alone in the tomb of his village post-black rocks.
Elsewhere in the world, however, a certain feral man is growing suspicious over the sudden lack of birthday letters from his ex-brother-in-arms (they are still brothers. just dumb.)

Voldemort is back, and more dangerous than ever.
Severus is Called again after returning home for the summer, and in doing so figures out a two key things: Voldemort is relying on the new generation of Death Eaters and whatever Heirs he can sway in his favor, and Harry desperately needs Occlumency training. Dumbledore is overly relaxed and it doesn’t quite sit right with Severus. After an Order meeting and being essentially voluntold to continue supplying one Remus Lupin with Wolfsbane, he decides, perhaps not in his right mind, to do two key things himself: he is going to teach Harry Occlumency, and is going to rope Remus into working with him.

Chuuya is sent to infiltrate UA; Dazai is sent to do the same with the League of Villains. Chuuya is suffering with tedious undercover work while trying to balance a fake family and hero school, while Dazai gets to go off and play villain. So unfair.

Summary
Coco gasps as she wakes up. She clutches the neck of her clothes as she wheezes; body shaking with each breath she takes. Her knees burn as she gags from the coughing, her stomach too empty to throw anything up. It doesn’t matter, she heaves up air as her body convulses. Collapsing on the floor, she presses her forehead to the cool stone beneath her. The relief is euphoric, even against her cold skin.
She lays there for an eternity, sinking into the floor. She lays there long enough for the stone to turn from cool to cold to unbearably freezing. She lays there even as the dragon flies up above. She lays there feeling dead.
Coco is stuck in the labyrinth by herself, with none of her friends beside her. And, no matter how what happens to her, she always comes back alive.

The shattering of glass above her screams danger as she throws herself flat in the gravity stream to look up at what's causing such a ruckus, only to see two silhouettes and a storm of jagged glass from the shattered window shooting her way.
Time stills. Looking up at the glare of the midday sun, now unshielded by the sunroof, Agott's eyes strain, and yet she perseveres by peering through at the shadowy figures looming above. One petrifying thing about their forms comsumes the air in her lungs as she readies herself to scream, a silent plea running through her mind for her mother to hear, some fifty floors away.

Her mother looked at her for a moment. Then she put her arm around Coco's shoulders and pulled her close, so close their bodies could have merged if it were possible.
"I am going to make sure you will." she promised. "That's different from okay right now. But it's what matters. It's going to be okay."
Coco leaned into her and decided that was a good enough answer.
