Harvey pulls up a timer. "Twelve hours," he tells him, hitting start and placing it carefully on the last empty spot on the coffee table that isn't covered in ash or flecks of pot: 00:00:35. They watch the seconds tick by: 00:00:38. 00:00:39. "You and I have twelve hours to do anything and everything. Nothing leaves this room, nothing here counts, and nothing will ever be brought up again. But when this thing hits twelve? You come back to work."
Mike raises an eyebrow, vaguely intrigued. "Anything and everything? I thought the law was a specific endeavor, Mr. Specter."
He takes a few steps towards Mike, relishing being in his vicinity again. Being separated has done neither of them any good, it seems. "Anything that brings catharsis."
