Soobin walks straight into something solid, something very much like another human being.
“Oh, sorry,” he rushes out, adjusting his glasses, praying his vision focuses.
Yeonjun’s eyes, the odd, cheerful slant of them that Soobin thought he’d never see again, not after that day, the e-mail. “It’s okay.”

As Yeonjun's body moves slowly in the water, Beomgyu's hand falls from the black ink patterns on his skin. “Where will we celebrate our 12th year?” he asks, blinking slowly.
“In prison?” says Beomgyu, without hesitation.
Yeonjun laughs wearily, as if this were genuinely funny. “You might as well kill me,”
Beomgyu knows how easily he could turn that sentence into an anxiety attack for himself if he were sober. But right now, everything is so blurry and quiet, it's almost heavenly, just makes him smile. “I've never celebrated at a cemetery before.”

Choi Beomgyu and Choi Yeonjun settle in Rockville to raise their daughter in the best way possible. They tolerate the growing gaps in their relationship thanks to her presence. But the fading of their love day by day is not the biggest problem. The day they learn just how terrible a place they've moved to is the day their worst sides come out.
Becoming fathers certainly cannot stop them from continuing to be the silent killers of their relationship, but it was never part of their plan for this murderous situation to change its nature and start affecting the entire suburb.
