Summary
It's 2003. Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Severus Snape travel back in time to put an end to the sinister presence in all their lives once and for all. Draco and Hermione decide to pose as seventh years alongside the students of Hogwarts in 1975 to create change and solve all their problems. But will it work? Maybe they had no idea what problems were till they did this.
The power of love is a curious thing, indeed.

That’s the Power of Love is yet another gr8t story from Gr8t_78, this time with a time travel plot inspired by the Back to the Future movies.
The initial premise of Severus wanting to go back in time to be with Lily may be slightly silly; this is ‘crack treated seriously’ after all. And there are indeed quite a few serious parts of the story, as well as fluff and spice and love drama, involving multiple versions of Draco and Hermione.
Timeline shenanigans like this requires a clear head both on the writer and the reader, and I think Gr8t_78 manages to tie it well together.
There’s also small nods to other fics in this fandom, like a High Reeve being present in an alternative, dystopian timeline. I’m also quite sure I’ve seen a Lucius Malfoy with a hilarious nautical kink, but I don’t remember what fic that was…

The Scavenger Hunt is a long, great ensemble story, featuring Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Draco, Theo, Pansy and Blaise. Established relations are painfully broken and new ones are painfully forged in the wake of a forced, inter-house ‘Unity’ program during 8th year.

“Oh, hello, you,” Hermione said softly. It was a little frog, no bigger than the hollow of the palm of her hand. Gently, she scooped it up in her hand and smiled. It really was very cute.
Then it opened its mouth and said: “What the fuck, Granger?”
That was when she screamed and threw the frog straight back into the plants.

The Unspeakable’s New Groove is a new, hilarious fic, with some serious moments — crack treated seriously as the tag says.
Accidentally walking in on Neville’s experiment that goes wrong, Draco is turned into a little green frog and is subsequently discovered by Hermione. After the initial shock of encountering a sarcastic frog, she and and Neville (reluctantly) decide to help him.
From the beginning to the epifrogue, the story is full of hilarious scenes and puns, including Malfrog hiding in Neville’s collar, being wingman to Neville’s nervous flirting with Hannah Abbot.
Being a wandless, helpless, cute little frog gives Draco some perspective on his life, and Hermione some insight into who the real Draco is.
Recommend if you want to read a funny, absurd story with some thoughtful moments.

NOW COMPLETE: Slow burn enemies to lovers road trip across Australia with banter, romance and political intrigue.
Draco Malfoy is on a quest to save his son. Hermione Granger is on a quest to steal his quest. What could go wrong?
Terrified that his son Scorpius may one day succumb to a centuries-old blood curse, Draco embarks on a desperate search for a mythical fountain rumoured to hold the power to heal. Tracking ancient magic across Australia would be hard enough on its own, but with Hermione Granger (freshly divorced, endlessly clever, and irritatingly determined) insisting on joining him, the task becomes even more infuriating.
Equal parts adventure, romance, and self-discovery, this is a story about redemption and the healing magic of second chances.

Just finished Lazarus by constantblathering, which has got to be one of the best underrated fics of the last few years.
Draco and Hermione are in their 40s, he is widowed, and she is recently divorced and has lost her reelection as Minister for Magic after a smear-campaign and conspiracy in the Ministry.
Draco wants to seek out the Fountain of Youth to make a potion to remove the Greengrass blood curse from Scorpius. Hermione wants to escape it all and forces herself along on Draco's quest.
And so begins a long, great story filled with humor, adventures, development of feelings, and reflections on who they have been, who they are, and who they want to be. No Ron-bashing, and no third-act breakup.
Greatly recommended! -

Just finished Silver, which is a nice, long story starting out in fifth year when Hermione and Draco are asked to brew Wolfsbane potion, first under Snape’s tutelage, later on their own, spending many evenings each month brewing. Initial hostilities are eventually diffused to form a truce… and more.
The story is refreshingly original, almost none of the stations of canon happens here. No Ron-bashing, and a functional foursome towards the end.
Highly recommended, especially if you like fics that deviate significantly from the books.

Just finished reading Metanoia, which is a long, great story of Draco’s slow redemption, from the start of fourth year through the war. He slowly goes through the stages, from automatically spewing racist slurs, to having some doubts, to reluctantly seeking Hermione’s help, to developing a partnership, friendship and relationship. I particularly like how Draco never really backtracks on this journey.
The plot slowly diverges from canon, and the war is told in refreshingly new ways, with a great ensemble of characters.
Highly recommended if you like rewrites and slow, but sure redemption of Draco, and equally slow, but sure building of a strong Dramione relationship.i

Just finished Soft As It Began by rubber_soul02. After the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry suddenly disappears without a trace. Four years later, Hermione works as an investigative journalist, but she is still searching for Harry whenever she can. After some clues are uncovered, her boss sends Hermione and her irritating colleague, Draco, on an expedition to find Harry.
It is a great story; a slow burn romance growing from Draco and Hermione spending hours alone in a cottage, investigating the mystery of what happened to Harry Potter, and why a junior Death Eater is following him.
And I have a new entry to my favourite Dramione quote list:

Bookmarker's Notes
Oops! I Joined The Good Guys is a humorous take on the horcrux hunt, where Draco has to fake his death to avoid being killed by Voldemort after his failure to kill Dumbledore. He is brought to Harry, Hermione and Ron who reluctantly let him follow them on the horcrux hunt. Lucius, Narcissa and Rodolphus Lestrange (!) have also turned sides and work together with Snape, the trio+Draco and Phineas Nigellus Black (!) to bring down Voldemort and Rodolphus’ rather estranged wife.
The story diverges quite a bit from the books and does not follow much of the stations of canon. There is (sexual) humor throughout, some smut, and even Draco in the muggle world (discovering the concept of sex shops).
Recommended if you want a fun, easy read, not too serious but still serious enough to have a good plot. This art by Silver_Snidget should give you an idea of the tone of the story. 😂

Just finished Atonement by Lunamionny. This is an 8th year story where Hermione, Draco, and others suffer from the effects of the recent war. And so Hogwart's new mind healer pairs up her patients and gives them tasks to complete together.
It's is a relatively traditional 8th year story, but there's a little more focus on the healing of trauma, panic attacks, dissociation, and so on. Some of it actually based on real treatments.
There's a nice mix of angst and fluff, with a little smut here and there.

Just finished Things Without Remedy, which is a time-travel story, but not a ‘fix-it’.
The opening of the story has a certain DMATMOOBIL-ish vibe, with an alive Tonks, auror Draco and Hermione working on a secret project requiring auror protection. There is gentle humor throughout the story, but there is also a bit more angst, as Draco does not feel he deserves to be part of society, and especially not Hermione’s circles.
The time travel is quite consistent; both internally in the story and with regard to canon.
It’s a nice story to read if you like the action, adventures, humor and romance of DMATMOBIL combined with a less self-assured Draco and time-travel complications.

Bookmarker's Notes
We Meet Again is a story about healing. Healing of parental issues, and healing of post-war wounds and guilt. Its also about growing as a person and acknowledging one’s faults.
Hermione has a rather poor relationship with her parents (especially her father) after restoring their memories after the war. They are quite wary of magic, which Hermione is not quite able to understand. She feels they are not accepting her as a witch, while they feel Hermione is dismissive of muggle life. A guilt-ridden Draco has mostly abandoned the wizarding world after the war, and works as a muggle doctor. Hermione and Draco meet again at the hospital, when Hermione messes up healing magic on her mother. Her father tells her to leave and not come back.
And so begins a heavy year for Hermione, only mitigated by the increasing presence of Draco in her life. But can Hermione accept that Draco has all but abandoned magic?

Wherefore Art Thou Malfoy? starts out as a classical epistolary Dramione story: After returning to her 8th year at Hogwarts, Hermione finds a parchment that responds when she writes on it. She soon becoms friendly and slightly enamoured with the 'Romeo' character she communicates with, in their shared world of 'Verona' where no secrets exists and they are free be who they really are. However, at the same time in the real world, Hermione has encounters with Draco, and slowly she becomes friendly and more than slightly enamoured with him, too...
Luckily, and unfortunately, they are of course the same person, which causes some drama. Not really 'miscommunication', though.
This is a story with a nice mix of drama, angst, fluff and smut, and with a much better ending than the Shakespearean drama which is referenced. -

I just finished The Hogwarts Photography Club, which is a fun and (mostly) fluffy 8th year ensemble fic.
To encourage forgiveness and interhouse unity, Headmistress McGonagall, initiates new Hogwarts clubs. The Photography Club, with Hermione, Draco, Ginny, Theo, Parvati, Blaise, Luna and Pansy, is quickly becoming popular among the other students, and a little headache for the headmistress due to the hilarious and slightly controversial photos being made. It does fulfill its purpose though, of bring people together…
Highly recommended for a fun, not too long, fluffy read (also with a dose of girl power towards the end).

Waif and Strays is a cute, but also serious, story. After the war, Draco is sentenced to finish his schooling at Hogwarts, where he is not exactly welcomed by his peers. He realises this will be his life, so he makes a plan to escape both his parents’ demands and a hostile wizarding society.
The first step is to leave Hogwarts undetected, using his secret animugus form of a marten. He chooses Hermione to pick him up. She is struggling with her own war traumas, not least the loss of her parents, and Crookshanks, so she practically adopt him on the spot.
What follows is a lovely story of how Hermione and Draco are growing more and more attached to each other, both as pet + owner, and as themselves, with both funny and slightly angsty situations.

The Muggle Death Eater and His Daughter is just what is says on the box: Crack treated seriously.
It’s a great story full of hilarious situations and puns, starting with Lucius misinterpreting Hermione’s father’s snake tattoo as a special Dark Mark. As the man is ‘obviously’ a super-secret top agent of Voldemort, Lucius decides to protect Hermione, and instructs Draco to do the same. And so start off a very alternate take on the Hogwarts years.
The romance between Draco and Hermione is cute, fluffy, a little smutty, and not angsty. There’s also a few other pairings where we get a little peek under the sheets, as it were.
Recommend if you’d like a light-hearted, funny story with sprinkles of fluff and smut.
