Summary
It's been 12 years since Park Jimin left Pleasant Hill, a quaint Midwestern town whose motto is "No excuses: it's hockey or bust." With it, came the burden of a verbally abusive father and a hockey team captain who kept Jimin as a secret.
Now in the big city, Jimin has convinced himself that everything is great. He works a nice cushy job, has a high-rise apartment--he should be happy. But for some reason, he still has this itching feeling like something is missing.
A call from a voice he never thought he'd hear again gives Jimin a reason to return to the place that left scars both on the ice and off.
Maybe it takes going back to where you're from to figure out who you are.

Will thinks about staying in bed. He thinks about beckoning Mike back into their room and rolling onto his stomach and having Mike push back inside him. He thinks about Mike moaning in his ear. Shoving his face into the mattress in that way that Will loves. Coming inside him. Dirtying him even more. Falling back asleep with Mike inside him and never leaving the bed, never leaving each other's arms. Food, coffee, life - it can all wait.
Sometimes Will worries that it’s becoming unhealthy. That he’s too obsessed, and that one day it’s all going to crash and burn. Or worse, that they will slowly fizzle out over time.Will becomes concerned that he wants Mike more than what's probably considered normal. Mike proves him wrong. Multiple times.

Like..... This is so hoooot. Wow, really well written smut. The way they are so obsessed with each other is canon TO ME and this fic captured that dynamic so well. I want to read this over and over again. Didn't know I would be in such a Byler rabbit hole but I am DEEP in it and am so glad I am because I get to read this fic. Like I just had a deep sense of satisfaction after finishing it, definitely a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ fic! *chef's kiss*

Dragon heartstring, rowan wood, thirteen inches. Way too big for Max’s ten-year-old chubby fingers, but apparently long enough for his dad. Jos nods, satisfied, as Max examines the curvy designs carved in the handle. The bigger the better, he says.

So this is a first. I have never bookmarked an incomplete work because my bookmarks are basically a review right? A review of the complete story from start to finish. But this one...this one has to be the exception. Like I already know what my thoughts are on it and it's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars, no question. I know this already. It being inspired by The Old Guard which is a pretty interesting concept (ragtag group of immortals), but this fic really made it their own and did it in a way that was compelling and so great to read. I loved so many things about it:the pacing, the details, the global settings, the captivating inter-relationships, the characters--just really amazing stuff. I loved Lando's POV and I'm always a sucker for outsider POV on a relationship so the Maxiel definitely made me really happy. Overall, just a great great fic that I can't wait to read the last chapter for and anything else in this universe if the author would like to. Again, 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars!!

This IS TOP-TIER domestic fic. Like one of the blueprints right here. So so so lived in and thought out and fleshed out and I really loved how it was a ride from a beginning to end. Like this is how long fic should be. Nothing too dragged out, conflict that makes sense for the characters, dialogue that is sharp and feels in character, all just really really good. I've always had a warm spot for this ship (Kane x Toews), and to have this long fic to always come back to that just brings to light all the reasons I love this ship...well that's just perfect, isn't it? I'll just leave this here: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for a domestic fic that shows how it should be done and to which all domestic fics I read will be compared to.

Lilacs and Cognac. Man, what can I say. Like this is one of the best fics I have ever read. In my 10 years of reading fanfiction. Like this is it. I originally read this fic on Tumblr when I was first discovering Jikook and even what it was, and I stumbled across this fic and everything changed. It shaped what I’m really interested in fics and my taste in them, and subconsciously has influenced the fics I want to write as well. These tropes and the way the characters interact and the words they say to the other and the things unsaid in the subtleties, just all of it, is so inspiring for my own work. Like this is the blueprint. Is actually copied and pasted this fic on Tumblr into my notes app year ago and I still have it, that’s testament of how much it means to me. I’ll never forget it.
