"I'm waiting," Megumi snipes back. The duh, idiot is implied, because he really thought she would've expected this. After all, no one would be surprised at him staying for Yuuji, even if it takes another few hundred years. But...
...But Nobara's smile drops, and Megumi's heart drops with it.

There are twenty minutes left in his Youtube video on solving integrals.
Twenty minutes between Megumi and spending the rest of the evening curled up with a mug of tea and the new book Yuuji had brought him back when he was away on a mission last week. Twenty minutes before he can finally take off his noise cancelling headphones for the first time in hours.
Twenty minutes left of studying for the day, when suddenly the voice coming through his headphones is no longer an old man droning on and on about math, but a peppy young woman he doesn’t recognize.

Or, well, it would have been, if Megumi hadn’t immediately shot a web in Yuuji’s face and ran.
…in his defense, Megumi hadn’t been expecting Yuuji to notice him.
The next time Megumi sees him at school, Yuuji’s sporting a bandage across his nose. Megumi opens his mouth to apologize, but snaps it shut as soon as he remembers Yuuji doesn’t know who he is.
“What… happened?” he had asked instead.
Yuuji had frowned. “I don’t think Spiderman likes me very much,” was his only response. Megumi had pressed his lips together and silently finished his lunch.
