Aymeric has struggled to find his place in life. It certainly wasn't staying with his noble family and being married off for a political alliance. But the military wasn't quite right either, even when he thrived both in combat and strategy. He did, however, meet a dear friend in his time at the barracks.
A dear friend he had to leave behind when he decided to instead pursue a life of piety.
Now settled into his assignment with a nomadic caravan, Aymeric decides to write a letter to Estinien, hoping to reconnect with the one person that ever made him feel like an individual rather than a pawn in someone else's game.

A lot can change in three years. Thancred had never been more keenly aware of that than he was now, staring up at Urianger's well muscled biceps and his unshrouded face. But what sparked the flutter of his heart wasn't the fine physique or the feathered hair, but the warmth that awaited him in those gilded eyes. And that was going to be a lot more difficult to bury within himself and forget.

They have a bit of a…rocky start but eventually cultivate a friendship. And then Estinien’s damn dragon instincts decide it’s time to start courting the fucking elf.
Plot/world obviously heavily inspired by the canon but I did some hefty™ tweaking because I’m a gremlin and it’s what I do.
I’m sorry to my unfinished fics but these pretty knight boys have me in a stranglehold and there’s naught I can do but keep writing them in silly little AUs.

The man was short, even for a miqo, and his scarlet hair brought out his eyes the color of rubies. Estinien felt his mouth run dry as those eyes turned to him. Fury, the man was gorgeous. Surely this must be someone from Elpis’ Idol Division, here to talk about one of their upcoming television adaptations.
The silver haired and buxom department chief rose and smiled. “Just in time, Estinien. May I introduce the man behind the name of Oriane Janlenoux: G'raha Tia.”
Estinien blinked. The adorable little redhead in front of him was his beloved Oriane? Fury have mercy, the miqo'te was so completely his type that it hurt, and he was going to have to keep it professional?! But, Venat didn’t know. How could she? No one knew he was gay save his two best friends, Haurchefant and Aymeric, and they only knew because of the shenanigans they had gotten up to as youths.
“Hello Estinien? Anyone home?” Venat’s voice was teasing but friendly. “It’s not like you to space out on me.”

Zenos had made peace with his own demise after fighting alongside the Warrior of Light. He was finally content, he had thought. Other plans have been laid out for him, however; when he reunites with the Warrior of Light once more, he recognizes this as his second chance.
Just one little lie, and perhaps the lingering hole in his heart will finally be filled.
-aka the twisted redemption arc that no one (especially not me) asked for, starting nebulously around 6.2. Canon compliant until then. WoL x Zenos.

Yves’s pulse was thudding in her ears while the reaper drew closer and closer.All she had to do was pull back and force Zenos away—yet every ilm of her body revolted, as if she was trying to jump out of her own skin.
“If wrath and hatred have ceased to inspire you, perhaps there are…other passions and sins that would serve to set you ablaze,” Zenos murmured.
Or: Zenos decides to provoke her friend’s attention with desire instead of fear, and changes the course of fate in the process.
