Summary
Iruma really wished he had just listened to Azz and hadn't entered that classroom, but how was he to know that it could have potentially life-ending consequences?
After Balam drags him to the teacher's lounge in a total panic about him not having any wings, Iruma is completely convinced he's done for. Instead, he has teachers panicking and out for blood at seeing the damage done to his back. It's not like it's that big of a deal, it's just some scars. Then he finds out about grounding and suddenly there is something about his grandpa not filing the permits to buy him and he's stuck living with the teachers?! More specifically, mostly Balam and Kalego until they can figure out who he's going to be adopted by.
Then, to make Iruma's life even more hectic, he finds out there are all these weird dynamics and behaviors that come with them, and he's somehow one of these dynamics and the only omega in an entire class of mostly Alphas?! Yeah, Iruma really wishes he had Just listened.
But on a nicer note, he is pretty sure Kalego doesn't hate him and is just a grouchy crypted.

Summary
During the summer Balam does most of his research work far away from any civilization. He doesn't mind it because it gets his mind off of one of two of his heart's deepest desires. A fledgling of his own. Something he had been dreaming about since he himself was just a child. The second desire was his ambition to prove humans and their world were real and to meet the creatures that he had spent his life studying.
One night during his break, both of his desires are placed in his path in a most unexpected way. Balam is thrilled and unwilling to let this once-in-a-lifetime deal slip through his fingers. He may be a rather gentle demon but he is still a demon after all and he is happy to snatch his heart's desires up with both claws as he is offered not only a nearly newborn fledgling, but the creature is a human to do as he pleases with. Its parents may have expected him to eat him, but the child captured his heart the second he caught sight of it.
He would raise the creature as his own.
And when It got old enough to head to Babyls....? Well Kalego's, Balam's very best Ally's, demands after meeting the boy of him needed socialization might drive Balam into an early grave.

Summary
Iruma is human. This means a lot of things for him, being the odd one out amongst the demons around him. He doesn't have horns, fangs, or a tail- but it's easy enough to dodge questions about those. Maybe it's unusual to be missing all three, but there's a large variety amongst demons. What's harder to explain away is his lack of wings, which he had been doing so well at hiding...
Except- humans are mythical creatures, to demons; so when Iruma's missing wing roots are discovered, that's not the first thing on anyone's mind. There is, in fact, a reason that a demon might be missing their wings. A horrible, horrible reason.
Never before had Iruma been grateful to have his scars.
