Summary
Life was supposed to be quiet, easy. It was all he had ever known until one day a rather interesting alpha with an intoxicating scent comes into Dan Heng's bookstore and turns his world upside down. He lived his whole life on the sidelines, studying and not standing out much among the crowd. That is, until he presented late as an omega. After that, Dan Heng had to learn to live in a world many his age were already accustomed to.
Now, five years later, he has done well with navigating his life as an omega. During those five years, he graduated high school as valedictorian with a full scholarship into his top university pick, and started his own bookstore in downtown Luofu. Thankfully, he hadn't been bothered much as an omega and didn't really have any desire to pursue any relationship with anyone, really. That is, until Blade walked into his bookstore.
The connection was instantaneous between the two. What started out as instinctual attraction turns into more as they both navigate their budding relationship as secrets come out to test their resolve.
Can they make it through? Will instinct take over? Is love truly something either of them deserve?

She exhales softly and continues, “I would like to propose an alternative then. A contract.”
“Go on,” Zhongli is not too sure if he will be amenable to it, but he can only refuse another Archon so many times before they take offense.
“A marriage between our two countries. Economic prosperity for both our nations. I am willing to supplement your forces with mine and extend them for chasm reopening efforts as well. I am sure that in return the mighty Morax will not shy away from supporting the duties of my Harbingers and Fatui if and when needed, of course.”
“What are the terms of this contract?”
“A marriage,” the Tsaritsa frowns at having to repeat herself. She then gestures towards the door, specifically at her vanguard.

A small smile spreads across Luocha’s face. “Oh, you know how people are. They’re often fascinated by the forbidden, and criminals in particular are popular.”
The look Luocha gives Dan Heng is a bit too knowing. “And those on the run tend to be especially sought after. Wouldn’t you agree, Dan Heng?”

If Dan Heng had a nickel for every time an abomination of Abundance walked in on him getting his pussy eaten, he'd have two nickels. Not a lot, but disturbing that it’s happened twice.

Ren pulls away with a mournful noise and glares at the twisted beings racing down the hallway towards them. He stands up and draws his sword as Dan Heng refastens his pants and tries to stop the way his legs are shaking.
He does look a little more lucid, Dan Heng thinks, blushing furiously as he watches Ren wipe his mouth off with his free hand then lick the mess off of his fingers. Seems like this really does work to calm him down…

Huaiyan already knows that Blade is a Stellaron Hunter, and the life of a wanted criminal with a bounty of over eight billion isn’t usually an indicator of good health. “Last time I met him, he was more lucid than our first encounter but is still relentlessly pursuing his own death.”
“And how about now?” Huaiyan asks. He appears as calm as ever, but his grip on his cup is tense.
“I’m not sure, it’s been several months since then,” Dan Heng shakes his head. Before he can process his words, he blurts out, “I can find out for you if you want.”

Checking into a hotel with Blade had certainly not been on Dan Heng’s to-do list when he first stepped out onto Planarcadia, but with how often Trailblazing missions went awry, Dan Heng figured that this little detour was just par for the course.
Going off on his own to find Blade was reasonable…necessary, even.
Staying with Blade, even while he was resting for the day and in all likelihood would be doing little but sleeping?
Well. Not even Dan Heng could fully justify his choice in his head with reasons that sounded more logical rather than personal, though that did not stop him from trying.

His eyes laid on the tail and the jade horns of the guy who was still catching his breath. Blade smirked insanely and pulled more up the chains, forcing the man to be closer to him.
Blade let his sword on the ground, to reach out the chin of the prisoner, to keep his head up and force to meet again his cold red eyes
