Summary
Even after the coldest winters, flowers are still guaranteed to bloom in the spring.
After experiencing years in an endless purgatory, ITrapped is conflicted about himself and the world around him.
Nothing is the same, and he is forced to rebuild from square one, but he isn't the only one.
Knowing of Chance's recovery, a tension forms between them, relighting an old flame with a new spark.

Summary
iTrapped once thought himself clever, untouchable even, as if the world would bend kindly to his mischief. Friends were just anchors he believed would never slip from his grasp, but greed keeps its own ledger, and the Banlands is a merciless place.
Then Ellernate and Caleb are swallowed whole in hell, their absence maddening to iTrapped's mind. He tells himself he will fix it, he whispers it often enough that it almost sounds like a prayer.
Then he sheds his name like an old skin, lets Chance drape him in friendship and easy laughter, and wears the mask of someone who deserves it. The gambler doesn't see the blade in front of him, or perhaps he chooses not to. Either way, the smile he offers is too trusting, and iTrapped swears that it’s only survival.
Yet survival, when it demands another’s heart to keep your own beating, begins to sound less like life and more like loss.Bookmarked by funkylilomen

Summary
Cruelty is not something anyone is born with. It grows and it festers over years and with reason.
ITrapped cannot imagine living without that coldness. It's something he's comfortable with.
Chance, however, is a blaze in the world. A rare example of unconditional love and kindness.
When cruelty meets kindness, how could they intermingle?
