Summary
Zed doesn’t know what he’s expected to change, after his victory over Shen. After he’s drugged, beaten and taken the other man in some random woods.
Probably nothing.
To be fair, Zed can admit that he overall hadn’t really spent much thought on the ‘after’ at the time. It wasn’t spontaneous, no, but his thoughts had been mostly focused on sating the desire to finally dominate his rival, not on what consequences it might have long-term. Maybe he’d finally have earned some respect. Maybe he could enjoy lording the victory over the other. Use it for blackmail, or something.
That sort of thing.
Instead, nothing seems to change. Except that Shen appears to be a little off. Less around. Less seen, not just by Zed’s own network, but by the people in general. He’s gotten quieter.

Neuvillette doesn't think it's as cute as Wriothesley does.

I want to take care of you when you are sick and I want to grow old with you until our hair turn gray, well your hair wouldn’t turn gray but that’s besides my point.
He didn’t say any of it. He just stood there, umbrella in hand. He watched his ex-husband walk away as the rain turned his cloths darker.
