Summary
When the Honmoon split the sky open, no one thought it would change anything permanent.
It was supposed to be quiet. A celestial anomaly. A once-in-a-lifetime event that Hunters for generations have been trying to accomplish. The end of demons roaming the surface of the Earth, stealing souls from innocent passersby.
Instead, it rewrote biology.Within weeks, people began presenting; secondary genders surfacing in waves across every country, every industry, every age group. Alphas. Betas. Omegas. Teenagers in classrooms. CEOs mid-board meeting. Actors on live broadcasts. The change did not discriminate; it simply arrived.
Governments scrambled to draft emergency policy around something they did not understand. Pharmaceutical companies fast-tracked suppressants and stabilizers that barely cleared safety trials. Religious leaders argued it was fate. Scientists argued it was mutation. News cycles turned feral. Talk shows debated hierarchy as if it had always been waiting patiently beneath the surface of civilization, teeth bared.
Chaos came first.
Then came structure.
And that structure tilted sharply, almost effortlessly, toward Alphas.

Summary
“Whoa, no—no consent here! I didn’t agree to any of this 'mating' thing. It’s not normal to just… tell someone that! There’s a process to these things, you know? Like dating… holding hands. I hardly know anything about you two! You should at least take me out for dinner first before trying to get in my pants.” She forced a weak laugh, hoping the joke would diffuse the tension, but her blush deepened, mortified by her own boldness.
Mira tilted her head. “Dinner? Pants? What do these mean? We hunt for food, not ‘take out.’ And your… coverings? We wear hides for practicality, not barriers.”
Rumi buried her face in her hands, groaning in embarrassment. “Oh god, never mind. It’s a human joke. I mean… you should spend time with me, get to know me better—talk, share stories, build trust—before trying to take things further. Like romantically, or whatever this is.”
Zoey’s eyes glinted with sudden excitement. “So… you’re saying we can mate with you if we court you right? If we do this ‘process’ your way?” Her tail swished eagerly, the prospect of learning more about humans making her light up like a bioluminescent bloom.
Or, Rumi betrays her species to have a hot alien threesome.

Summary
“Rumi?” Mira questioned uncertainly. The demons had frozen as well, staring at Rumi as she stared back. The tense silence stretched. The hallway felt like the oxygen had been sucked out and the dim lighting cast shadows all around.
“Rumi, there’s no such thing as half demons. We would know. Celine would have told us. It has to be a trick….” Zoey said but it was clear she still had her own reservations.
And what could Rumi say to that? Celine had said she could find no records of any other half demons, not anywhere in the archive. How could hunters have never encountered a single half demon in the nearly 800 years since the honmoon was created? What were the chances they would meet them now, in this generation, when Rumi herself was one? It felt like a trap. It had to be a trap.
But…
“Rumi?”
“She’s bleeding.” She said softly. “Demons don’t bleed.”

Summary
Zoey giggled and nuzzled impossibly closer. Rumi could feel her rub her cheek against the side of her neck—where her scent gland would be—and sniff the area. The action tickled the sensitive skin and sent a pleasant shudder down her spine. In the back of her mind, Rumi vaguely registered how the need to itch the area lessened.
Zoey paused and leaned back to look at Rumi. A curious look crossed her face, and Rumi raised one eyebrow in question.
“You kinda smell different,” Zoey simply stated. There were no teasing undertones in that sentence, just a factual finality.
OR
Rumi had spent her entire life believing that she was a beta. Why wouldn't she considering she never presented as anything else. However, as it turns out, training to be an idol and demon hunter while carrying the responsibility of fixing the Honmoon since she was young can be stress inducing.
When things finally settle down after they create the new Honmoon, Rumi begins to notice subtle changes--her scent, smells, and behaviors. A reluctant visit to the doctor reveals that she's finally presenting as an omega. Rumi has a crisis while Mira and Zoey try not to freak out.
