Summary
He leaned back against the sundial, his heavy lidded eyes never leaving the sight of the ruins of Mondstadt in the distance. How did this happen and why did his feet lead him here? He’s too tired to try and remember but he did have a small recollection of a certain bard urging him to come here despite his hesitance. He clutched the deep injury on his stomach as he let out a shuddering breath.
He closed his eyes momentarily and when he opened them again, he didn’t expect for a woman whose body is transparent to be kneeling down in front of him. He didn’t have the energy to ask, he only blinked his eyes slowly.
“Hello… star-pupiled child. My old friend must have told you to come to me as a last resort.” the woman said as she smiled so gently. “Do not worry. I’ll grant your deepest wish and I hope this would be enough to change the outcome of this… dreadful war.”
He felt her hands cradling his face in a motherly manner and he closed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was a soft touch on his forehead and the cool and yet comfortable wind surrounding him in an embrace.

Kaeya has broken the fourth wall a few times (in the game/game dialogue), so i kinda decided to make a little one-shot about it.
Being the only person who's aware of the game-world around him, he's doing the only realistic thing: brooding about it.

Summary
Diluc sighs guiltily and puts her down. ‘I’m sorry, Klee,’ he tells her.
‘That was scary,’ she tells him. ‘I don’t like to see you and Big Brother Kaeya fighting. You should just tell him more turtle facts if you can’t think of anything nice to say.’
Kaeya’s mind helpfully supplies him with a brief scenario of Diluc that day in the rain, standing over him with a flaming claymore, and pausing his onslaught of attacks to educate Kaeya on how a turtle’s shell is not actually an exoskeleton like most people would assume but actually a modified rib cage that’s part of the vertebral column.
‘You’re right,’ Diluc sighs. ‘I shouldn’t have lost my temper at Sir Kaeya.’
Klee nods understandingly. ‘Now you need to say sorry to him.‘
Diluc blinks. ‘What?’
‘You need to say sorry to him,’ Klee repeats. ‘That’s what Master Jean always tells Klee to do when Klee says something that hurts people. And Klee is sure that Master Jean would be very, very upset if she sees Big Brother Kaeya and Big Brother Diluc not getting along.’

Venti and Rosaria did everything they could do to convince Diluc to prank Kaeya on April Fool's Day. They thought everything would be fun and maybe a little argument would occur. But what they weren't expecting was things to get extremely emotional that it was impossible to confess him this was nothing but a prank Diluc came up with.
Diluc called Kaeya his brother and asked him to hug him. But instead of a punch, he was expecting, he got a brother happier than any human being ever managed to be.
But this was just a prank.

Kaeya shakes his head miserably. “I’m going to hurt you,” he repeats in a whisper. “Because of what I am.”
Diluc looks at his brother critically. There are many things he could say right now, like, What exactly are you? or, I think that’s still kind of offensive.
He decides on asking, “Do you want to hurt me?”
The response is immediate. Kaeya’s face becomes horrified, and, forcefully, he says, “No!”
Diluc has a very silly brother. “Well, then, I don’t care what you are, ‘Yaya,” Diluc tells him matter-of-factly. He pauses. That isn’t quite right. “Well, I mean, I do, but you’re my brother, first and foremost, now and always and forever.”
There are some truths that never change.
(Or: Four times Diluc sees Kaeya without his eyepatch.)
