There was no use in cancelling plans now. Gem was too eager to go and he was too afraid to talk back to her anymore. Scott clicked back from the group chat titled “Gem n the Scotts” with a bunch of silly emojis to scroll down his chat list. There was one chat that immediately took his attention.
It was him and Jimmy’s direct messages, and there was a painful feeling in his throat every time he read through their chat.
The last message was from 7 days ago.
Jimmy : I miss you.
Scott didn’t reply to that message, or any of the messages Jimmy sent before that.
