Summary
It's 1990. Mike and the party have gone their separate ways for college, and during vacation when they return to Hawkins, Will mentions a new boyfriend, causing Mike to spiral and toil with the sickening feeling this information gives him, until he comes to the conclusion that he's in love with Will. And probably has been his whole life.
Except, it's too late. Will is happy with someone else, and there's nothing Mike can do.
When Mike stumbles across a time machine within Mirkwood, he considers it the perfect opportunity.
Thus, Mike travels back in time to various points throughout his life when he should have told Will how he truly felt.
