“This way you won’t feel as cold. I promise you I’ll have your back now, Eds. Bill and Stan too when I introduce you to them tomorrow. Wanna come to my house? We can watch a movie on my basement or play games.”
“It’s Eddie. And you don’t have to do that just because I’m upset.” Richie’s hand was still outstretched to give Eddie the glove, but the smaller boy refused to grab it, so he laughed and threw it at him.
“I’m not doing it because you were crying, Dummie. I’m doing it because we are friends now. Come on! I’ll even let you pick the movie.”
And that’s how it started.

“Is it weird that I’ve always wanted someone to kiss me like that?” Eddie says, mouth completely skipping that whole ask-brain-for-permission-first thing.
“No weirder than me always wanting to kiss someone like that,” Buck replies.
Every bit of oxygen is sucked out of the room. The movie is still playing, but Eddie can’t hear it over the ringing in his ears. His eyes snap to Buck, who is rhythmically puffing his cheeks out and picking at the label on his bottle of soda.
Five time Buck and Eddie kiss platonically, and one time they don't.

“You got one too,” Theo pointed, touching the beauty mark under Eddie’s eye.
Eddie felt his cheeks go red. “Not a birthmark, just a mark.”
“I want it,” Theo said determinedly, walking back to the table to grab his pens. Eddie really should have told him to stop drawing on his face, but he just watched in awe as Theo grabbed a brown marker and ran off to the bathroom.
When Theo returned to the living room a few moments later, he had drawn a small, brown dot underneath his eye to match Eddie’s. He was looking up at Eddie through his lashes, beaming with pride at the spot he’d created.
Eddie lost it.

This is basically an Accidental Warlord Din Djarin fic in which Din plays the role of reluctant DILF leader with a heart of gold and Luke plays the role of initially distrusted twink who quickly becomes beloved by all (especially said warlord). The Mandalorians are like, "we've only had Luke Skywalker for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself."
