One of the more interesting parts is hearing people call her by Mrs. Hopper with the utmost natural casualness. People might've been correcting themselves back in Hawkins—"Mrs. Byers—Oh, Mrs. Hopper, sorry—"—but here, Hopper is the only thing students know to call her by. Starting fresh has never sounded so good to her.

The collar lives in a slim leather box in Joyce's bedside table.
It isn't something they did often, but it's been a stressful few weeks with little time for themselves; the kids had been visiting for the holidays, and while they loved having them around, it was nice to have it be just the two of them again. Hopper had been snappier then usual, which was usually a sign to Joyce that he needed someone else to take control for him- that he needed her to take control for a bit.

'You have a shallow breath and hold your belly like you're in pain,' she replied matter-of-factly. She looked tired, and there was a frown over her face which Linus didn't like. 'Just like Lucy said in his last book report.'
Because of course Lucy, dear but morbid child that he was, picked for his reading of the month a book about cardiac problems after he learned about Linus' high blood pressure. As was to be expected, the symptoms, complications, and death cases were the focus points in his rather lengthy presentation._
A story of three months between Linus' return to the island and his move to the Marsyas House, in which he learns that there are more ways to express his feelings than just arts and crafts projects. -
