I got to almost the end and Every Living Breathing Moment by Grant Steller started playing and in the entire history of human civilization there has never been a better fitting piece of music for a moment. This feels like gold and sunlight and silk scarves and my heart hurts from loving it so much. You just have to fucking trust me when I say the angst is short lived and so so so worth it and he's not out of character at all I promise it all makes sense in the end and wow. I'm having a heart attack or something. Wow

“Whitaker, you need to sit down. You have a concussion.” The voice next to him tries to tell him, and it's almost familiar this time.
“Yeah I realized that, I am a fuckin' doctor. Student doctor. Whatever.” he replies, turning to squint at the man sitting next to him. “Look, can you just get Dr. Robby? He’ll tell you I'm fine, I gotta get back to work, I got… patients and shit.”
The man looks at someone behind him, some expression he can’t quite figure out. He starts to say something else, and—oh shit he’s gonna throw up fuck—he tries to lean away and not vomit all over anyone else. He doesn't quite make it.
“Shit,” yeah, he definitely ruined that guy’s shoes. Whoops. “Sorry.”

Summary

Summary
Two and a half years after being Bitten, things are finally starting to settle enough that Alpha Scott McCall can start looking beyond his nearest neighbors and repentant enemies for alliances. Naturally, he starts with the Hale Pack; everyone in his Pack is from Beacon Hills (or has at least lived there for a while). They all miss their families, even if they honestly haven't had time to visit since everything started. For that, they need permission, and it would really be simpler for everyone if they didn't have to formally ask every time they wanted to spend the weekend in good old BH. Plus, there was the thing with Stiles.
Everything gets a bit more complicated when Alpha Hale suggests she might be interested in one of the more old-fashioned alliances.
Stiles has never been one to let an opportunity pass him by.
