With the soft drone of the music complimenting the domestic scenery before him, Simon let himself fade into the background and opted to observe the man as he moved about the kitchen, shuffling through the cabinets and lazily swaying his hips to the slow beat. The display tugged a cord on that cold, dead heart Simon swore wasn't capable of such a feat years ago.
And yet here he was, watching that mohawk bounce around the kitchen, smiling to himself like an idiot, watching the gold ring around Johnny’s finger catching and shimmering in the light. He still couldn't believe it was real, couldn't believe that a man like him could get to wake up to this.
To Johnny.
His husband.
Funny, he was still getting used to hearing those words together.

Simon still struggles prospect of what could have been. Luckily for him, he has Johnny to talk him out of it, "for as long as they both shall live."

Kyle met him halfway, loving the firm grip the calloused hands held on him. "Kyle, but my friend's call me 'Gaz'. Either or works."

A blush slowly crept up Kyle's neck. He had to admit, he rather enjoyed the way his name rolled off the other's tongue. "Hope that wasn't too forward," John added. "I can give you some space if you'd like-"
"No! Nono, you're fine, you don't have to go!" Kyle rushed out to stop him from retreating. John raised his eyebrows at the outcry, looking fairly amused.
For the love of God, Kyle mentally yelled at himself to play it cool.

“You never seemed interested.” Peter’s gaze warmed. “Usually you like being a good boy for me. Lying back. Taking what I give you.”
Stiles’s pupils dilated. He swallowed hard, heart hammering.
“But if you want to fuck me,” Peter continued, voice low now, deliberate, “you’ll need to do it properly. Put some effort into it. Think you can manage that, baby?”
“And tap that ass? Oh, definitely,” Stiles breathed.
Peter’s lips curved. “We’ll see.”

Peter makes it a point to know who every student at Beacon Hills High School is. Even if they're completely unremarkable, he likes to know the basics about them. He's a senior, still a child according to his sister, but he's tapped to be her right hand, her enforcer. It's his job to know about everyone that could be a potential threat. She calls him paranoid, he calls it practicing. So when a new student comes, the first in a long time (in years really. No one moves to Beacon Hills.), Peter pays attention.

"Isn't that just as easy to run into creepy people as it is on Fetlife?" Stiles asks.
"Oh for sure," Erica cackles. "But that's the fun part, getting to run people off and scare the shit out of them."

Stiles walks into the bathroom and Derek sighs loudly. The tiles, which are pink and clash horribly with the brown spotted floor, are mostly cracked or missing. Stiles obviously tried to fix it with more peel and stick tiles, which are also falling off.
"As you can see...Yeah, you can see it," Stiles says with a self-deprecating laugh. "It's bad, I know. Pinterest made it seem a lot easier."
Pinterest, the bane of Peter and Derek's existences. They could do an entire season on Pinterest fails alone.

Summary
The Craigslist ad had been because Peter had been wonderfully, spectacularly drunk. Reservations for the Palm are hard to get, even for someone like Peter, and he's had his name down for eight months. He refuses to waste it. If he hadn't been trashed on expensive pinot noir, he would have considered maybe inviting his best friend, Chris, or taking out a niece or nephew. But no, he'd been three sheets to the wind and decided that he needed to share his Valentine's Day dinner reservations with a random stranger.
Or
Peter refuses to let good dinner reservations go to waste just because his (ex)girlfriend cheated on him. He drunkenly makes a Craigslist ad to find a date, and Stiles answers.
