He’s getting some excellent reading done, even if the knowledge comes with the risk of taking on too much. For all that Lucien is equal parts disgusted and enraptured with his new pet, he wants him to stay fully individualized and not overwhelmed by the minds of others.
He thinks, deep down, that Lucien is unbearably lonely. (Well, fuck him. He made that bed, himself.)
