This takes place after my modified version of Top Gun: Maverick. (The story is called A Shift in Perspective but I don't like the title, so I might change it idk). The whole series is called Absolution and I think you should check it out ;)
Ice tries to reconnect with his adopted son, Jake. His wife, Sarah, had passed away many years ago now and he's only tried to have another serious relationship once - with Maverick. The Dagger mission was successful and it brought Maverick back into Ice's life. They both want to try and rekindle what they had.
Years ago, Jake had looked into who his biological family was and discovered he has a twin brother, Tyler Owens. He's nervous about telling his dad that he looked into it but he wouldn't mind having a big family. He also wouldn't mind going on a date with his crush, Bradley. Unfortunately, that would mean he'd have to tell Bradley that he has a crush on him and Jake doesn't think he'd be able to survive the embarrassment.
