Summary
Robin has had the same dream every night for months now.
She's standing at the foot of Honey Hill, near Greenbrier. The sky churns with emerald storm clouds, the wind whipping through her hair and clothes as she trudges up to the hillside. Thunder crashes, rumbling through her ribs like a freight train. It's not raining, not yet, but she can almost taste the certainty of it. The kind of storm that could— that will— raze anything in its path.
But what really catches her eye is the figure standing at the top of the hill, silent and still underneath the creaking branches of a single strong oak.
A girl. A girl with long, curly hair, caught by the wind. Her face is hidden by the darkness, even in the moments that lightning strikes and illuminates the entire hillside. Her black dress whips around her bare ankles as she stares down towards the bottom of the hill, her pale hand slowly reaching forward. Like she's reaching for Robin.
Like she's calling for her.

Summary
Sir Nancy had long since accepted her fate. For the rest of her life, she was set to serve by Prince Steve’s side, sworn as his loyal knight. Her desires must be set aside; her duty and honor always taking first place.
Prince Steve knows his place in this world. His days of freedom are over, his future a bargaining chip for political power. All he can do is hope that he can find peace between himself and the woman he is being forced to marry.
But the Kingdom of Hawkins isn’t what it seems. Something dark lies beneath its dusty surface, and when Nancy discovers that Steve’s betrothed has taken it upon herself to investigate a strange willow deep in the forest, it is simply her duty as Steve’s knight to ensure that her future queen isn’t harmed.
Meanwhile, Steve has decided that the way to have a happy life is to make peace with his betrothed’s brothers, soon finding that charming the eldest prince will take nothing short of a miracle. Nancy stared at her, her expression shifted. Not angry. Not hurt. Focused. Eerily similar to her I'm gonna commit a crime face. “Robin.”
“Nancy?” Robin tilted her head. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Nancy stepped closer. Close enough that Robin’s back brushed the edge of the desk behind her. Then her hands fell to Robin's hips, keeping her in place,
“Robin Buckley,” Nancy deliberately tipped her head up so their gazes were locked, “I underestimated how catastrophically bad you're at social cues.”
Robin huffed. “Rude, I told you I was.”
“Look at me.”
Robin did. She always did when Nancy asked like that.
“We have been dating,” Nancy said slowly, enunciating every word, “for nearly six months.”

Steve is needling Robin into finally landing herself a girlfriend—both unaware she already has one at home.

Do you ever start writing something planning it to be a short silly goofy ronance fic thats maybe 2 or 3k and then accidentally rewrite stranger things season 5 in a fic that is over 20k?
just me? okay cool.
Robin joins Steve and Jonathan's head-butting/macho competition and while Nancy is very annoyed about the boys doing this, she finds herself very suddenly much less annoyed when robin is the one joining in.

Robin, truly could not believe she was about to put her immortal soul into the hands of Steve ‘the hair’ Harington. In the bathroom of a godforsaken seafood restaurant surrounded by smiling tiled lobsters. Only, she kind of could–how could this experience get any crazier?
Robin groans, scrubbed her face, starting over. “Listen, I need to swear you to secrecy okay, I know you have no reason to keep my secret, but I am–I am begging you man. If I tell you, you can't tell anyone.”
He looks at her. “Okay I am really curious, so yeah, I pinky swear to not tell anyone your deep dark secrets or whatever.”
She takes a breath. Here goes nothing.
“Okay, so this is crazy, but there's been a huge mistake. I am Robin Buckley–”“From Hawkins, Indiana,” Steve supplies.
