Zuko is courting Katara, and with every passing day finds new and insane ways of showing that he would quite literally move the spirit world and earth to make her happy.
In hindsight, it probably would've been better if Sokka had realised he was in love with Zuko at literally any time before this. Or preferably, never fallen for his best friend in the first place.

A mishap in the Spirit World sends Sokka jumping worlds.
He finds Zuko every time.
A gust of violent wind rattles them. Dry snow, like dust and stars, swirls in an eddy around Sokka’s head.
“Sokka!” The wind swallows most of Aang’s voice. He must be shouting, but it sounds more like a whisper
Sokka pushes his hands in front of him, as if he could somehow drive away the storm of spirits.
He can’t, of course.
The light floods across his world and crashes over him and drags him down, down to the bottom of a place that he can only think of as the ocean. But it’s not; it can’t be.

Summary
Jagged peaks of blue and black, flattened by distance, are the only feature of the snowy expanse below the plane. The cloudless sky bleeds into the white, the horizon a hazy line of muted blue across the curve of the earth before it darkens in counterpoint to the faint glow of the ice. There is still sun now, light just cresting over the boundary between land and sky, and within weeks even that will be gone.
Zuko watches Antarctica draw closer as the plane descends and tries very hard not to lose his last meal.
When Iroh suggested that Zuko get away for a bit, it sounded reasonable and even desirable—Zuko can’t imagine a better place to run from his issues. Now that he sees the barren stretch of ice and cold, the longer he sits here and the exact nature of what he’s signed up for has time to sink in, the more this feels like a banishment.

Sokka just needs to pass his theatre studies class to get out of here with his engineering degree, preferably while keeping his grades up to get into a decent graduate program. Zuko has very little patience and makes Sokka's mouth go dry whenever he looks at him, but he's a pretty good tutor.
Cue a mildly unhealthy obsession with Romeo and Juliet and a foray into water polo, and Sokka's beyond gone for the intimidating, snarly tea server. Problem one is that said snarly tea server insists on staying friends. Problem two is that Sokka absolutely cannot handle that.

And while Akaashi found himself appreciating his teammate’s birthday fervor in a way that was soft, foreign, and somewhat unexpected, Bokuto should still have known that this level of spectacle was neither Akaashi’s preference, nor something he was entirely comfortable with.
Under such pressure, he blew out the candles. Then, as requested, made a wish.
I wish Bokuto-san understood the perspective of someone other than himself.

Oh, Jack is so dead. It’s one hundred percent possible Jack Hunter has begun his new life here at Pennbrook only to die shortly upon getting there. Because there’s definitely a rule about not being in love with your roommate and Jack is currently staring into the eyes of a one way ticket to ‘You’re gonna be so fucking gone over this idiot’-ville.
“What are you doing?” Jack pitches his voice low on purpose, a reminder to himself and Eric that they are men, thank you, and should totally not be this close to each other’s faces unless someone is choking. He clutches his jacket like a life preserver.
“Loving you with my eyes,” Eric croons at him while Jack send frantic SOS signals to any deity paying attention to please make this stop.(Opening moment happens in Witches of Pennbrook S5 E5, most of fic set in a hand-wavey part of season 7 after Eric cuts his hair and they move back in together.)
