And then Gank is murdered and everything changes. He needs to solve her murder by any means necessary. He has to delve into the underground on his own for the first time, interacting with all kinds of people and all kinds of danger.

Izuku Midoriya freaks out a lot. But this is a whole new level of freak out he wasn’t even previously sure was possible. Eraserhead, the Eraserhead had responded to his email!
He wasn’t expecting to get a response! He was just entertaining himself by browsing case files and thought he might as well share his findings so that he could at least pretend he’d done something. Helped someone.
He had never expected anyone to actually care.
But now that his favorite hero had seen his message it made sense. Of course, the man would care. Izuku knew his identity! His analysis wasn’t great, but even so, it must’ve freaked the man out when he realized some random guy knew his faculty email. Shit.
So now Izuku’s managed to piss off his favorite hero and he probably thinks he’s a criminal.
He’s really freaking out.

Izuku gets bored and decides to send out an analysis to Eraserhead. It alters the entire course of his life.
