Summary
A quiet night aboard the Stan O' War II took an unexpected turn when Ford experienced a vivid encounter with Bill Cipher that felt far more real than a dream. Rather than taunting him, Bill claimed to reveal a hidden truth about Ford's existence, insisting that Ford's connection to the unknown ran deeper than he had ever imagined.
Ford rejected every word, convinced it was another attempt at manipulation. Yet Bill pointed to countless moments throughout their lives.
The following day, the brothers tried to reclaim a sense of normalcy during a trip ashore. They shared breakfast, laughed through a ridiculous argument with a street scammer, escaped before the authorities arrived, and enjoyed a peaceful meal together. Outwardly, everything seemed almost normal again.
But inwardly, Ford couldn't shake Bill's unsettling claims.
Was it only another one of Bill Cipher's lies... or had Ford just learned a truth that would forever change the way he understood both himself and Stan?

Summary
It had been a relief at first, for the pressure in his head and the weight on his arms to be released. He'd been in so much pain since he'd started defying HIM that he thought he'd never be free of it. Then he heard Stanley screaming his name and watched as his body fell through the portal, yellow eyes glowing with fury. Then the portal ran out of fuel and shut down. Then he realized Stanley couldn't see or hear him. No one could.
or
Thirty years ago Ford was evicted from his body by a furious Bill Cipher. Immediately after, said body fell through an interdimensional portal. Trapped in the Mindscape, Ford tried to make the best of his situation. However, this summer brought changes he hadn't expected; changes that could change Gravity Falls forever.

Summary
"In the booth tucked beside the tiny kitchenette aboard the Stan O’ War II, Ford peered through cracked glasses at his brother's back, at the eggs sizzling in a pan on the stove. He watched the unfamiliar-familiar lines of his brother, older and grayer and jaded, and wondered if he ever knew him at all.
If not, he would like to fix that."
(Loosely-connected scenes of what comes after the apocalypse-that-wasn't; a brotherhood rekindles, and Ford discovers that he is not alone.)

Summary
Stanley Pines stayed in school.
Nobody thought he would succeed at anything. Everyone thought he was a clown that was fated to be stuck here forever. Everyone thought he was a loser who gave up when the hands that always helped him turned him away. Everyone thought he couldn't even survive high school.
Why let them be right?

“Shouldn’t you be heading home now, kid?” Stan asked gruffly, raising an eyebrow.
Soos looked up from organizing his (new!) toolbox. He shrugged, “My Abuelita knows where I am.”
Stan leaned hard against the gift shop counter as he counted that day’s earnings. He sighed, “Nah, I meant, like, your dad or mom. They won’t be callin’ the cops or something?”
A strangled expression crossed Soos’ face, which is weird because so far, the past few weeks of knowing him, he had been a complete ray of sunshine. He looked down and picked up a screw, fiddling with it idly, “I, um, don’t have a dad, Mr. Pines.”
Or,
Stan finds out why Soos has only every mentioned an Abuelita. Little does the kid know, he relates more than he'd like to.

“You saved me”, Stanford uttered, immediately flinching at the volume of his whisper as it rang out in the silent darkness.
Curiously, but Stanley flinched as well, before turning and staring at his twin.
“Of course I did”, he stated, beginning to sound outraged. “Who do you take me for?”Or... something goes different, something goes wrong, and something... might go finally right.

“That’s what I thought you’d say. Let me rephrase: you will work for me, carrying out my every order without question or complaint, with no thoughts of any sort of betrayal, while your brother remains our… guest.” Rico paused, letting his words hang in the air, awful and condescending and dripping with disgusting enjoyment. He stopped circling Stan, standing to his left so both brothers could see him clearly.
Finally, he smiled, extending a hand in Ford’s direction. “Or I’ll kill him.”

“It don't line up the exact same, but my mama told me stories.” Fiddleford caged himself with his arms, looking away. “About Blue Ridge travellers ran off by ghostly black dogs with big red eyes. In some stories, the dog's a protector. But in others, it's an omen.”
A tale Ford had dismissed as a child, convinced that the varied and vague reports indicated this particular oddity was only fictional. Perhaps his child self had been hasty. He tilted his head. “An omen of?”
Fiddleford uncurled himself and looked Ford in the eye. “Death.”
(Ford Pines is intrigued by a new anomaly.
Stan Pines, as the unwitting new anomaly, is having a bad time.)

"Oh, managed to find a curse you could mumble out before they hung up?" Fiddleford jovially responds. "Lucky you!"
