Annie has never been good at accepting the way things were. She hated the Academy despite being one of the very few to survive it to its fullest capacity. She hated the Capitol and everything it did to the ones she loved. And maybe, too, she hated Finnick for being so willing to destroy himself for her. So Annie feels indebted. It gnaws and eats away at her despite Finnick's best efforts. Sometimes it feels like she's more destroyed by this semblance of safety than he is being subjected to the worst of the Capitol. Annie she hates herself for it.

I got high tonight and came up with the idea for a short prompt of 'what the Victors believe in,' wrote Cashmere's while high, and finished up the rest by the time it all wore off. So this is what each Victor believes in throughout their lives to keep them going.
[Finnick has two options depending on if you follow my canon (the Cashmere-verse) or the original canon. The Victors you don't recognize and some of the backgrounds of even the canon Victors are from my AU but I liked the idea of writing one from his book canon, too. All of these are set in the Katniss/Peeta win AU, bc I'm difficult and there had to be 2 AUs.]
