Summary
Well, for those of you who read "Date Night" (Part 3), thank you for your patience. I told you I'd give you the story, and here it is. The year is 1984 at the Jackpot Hotel and Casino when Husk meets one of the newest additions to Hell's roster of overlords, Valentino. Husk had already heard things about the man, he already didn't like him. But when Val attempts to steel away one of his employees, the old cat decides it's time to teach him a lesson and put the newcomer in his place.

Please don't as me why, but the idea for this one-shot has been haunting my thoughts for a while and last night I finally worked up the nerve to write it. Worked on it until almost midnight and finished it up after breakfast.
Pure fanfiction! This story takes place way back when Husk was still an overlord, long before his fall from power. He and Rosie were engaged in a very passionate fling at the time, and when he accompanied Rosie to a charity event in the little town of Maul-ta, they decided to take advantage of the fact that they finally had a moment to themselves. If you read "Can I Get a Matchmaker?" (Part 2) you might understand where this story's going and why I felt compelled to write it. Hope y'all enjoy.

Summary
We go back about four years before Pomni arrived to the Digital Circus. Kaufmo is still around, the Circus is not the same as we know it now, Jax is the newest arrival and sets out to turn everything in it upside-down. Over the course of this three-part prequel series, Jax gradually learns to adapt to the strange world of TADC. Together with his newfound costars, we watch Jax as he finds love, suffers loss, and eventually becomes the lovable jackass we all know and love today.
