Summary

Summary

Osamu switched off the gas. He too, was uneasy. “What?”
The stench of charcoaled salmon assaulted his nostrils. His head ached.
“It’s the twenty-ninth.”
He looked at Osamu. Osamu wasn’t looking at him. He was in a daze, in a realm between shock and peace, his lips parted.
In a soft, choked manner, he spoke:
“Oh.”

Suna and Osamu have been in a relationship for seven years. Suna is tired and wants to break up. Or so he believes until Osamu begins to lose his memories - memories of them.That they loved each other at all.

Summary
Osamu gives him a short, little kiss on his lips before leaving another kiss at the corner of his mouth, choosing to start leaving a path of kisses on his jaw and slipping towards his neck, feeling Suna's fingers dig into the back of his neck when he leaves a kiss on his pulse. "Don't be afraid." He whispers against his skin.
He feels a little vibration when Suna lets out a short laugh and they both straighten up so they can see each other.
"I'm not afraid." Suna assures him, looking at him. "You should."

Summary
Osaka is different. He's never lived here, so it's never been "home", but every time he's gone for too long he gets antsy. He expects the door to his bedroom to be on the left side of the hallway, when it's actually on the right. Gets startled at the way sounds seep in through his bedroom window when there isn't another body to muffle them. Sniffs fresh laundry and wonders if he forgot detergent, only to remember that Osamu just uses way too much.
Suna wonders if this is what homesickness feels like.
Well, if Suna is sick, this must certainly be the cure. The routines of visiting Osamu settle behind his chest the way a warm bowl of kasujiru does on a cold day. Transforming the ache of longing into the ease of having.
or, what starts as a game of ordering food for each other turns into suna realizing that he's in love with his best friend
