Summary
Little is known about Viserra Targaryen. She was the most beautiful of Queen Alysanne Targaryen's daughters, a vain, wild, and ambitious girl. When she was fifteen, her mother betrothed her to Lord Manderly, a man old enough to be her grandfather. No one was willing to speak against the match, so she tried to seduce her widowed brother, Baelon and gain her freedom. Unsuccessful and resigned to her fate, Viserra snuck out with her friends for one last night of laughter. On their way back, there was an accident, and the Princess fell from her horse and died.
Or: Viserra did not die that night, and instead, the Fourteen Flames showed her the horrors of the future. Forewarned, she will stop at nothing to protect those she loves.

Alternative version of Red Robin #14, where Tim falls instead of catching himself after Damian cuts his grappling hook: "Sometimes his mind felt like a grappling hook shot into the darkness. It spiraled high into the wild sky with purposeful but fragile intent. And his thoughts, like his grappling line, took a moment to reorient as the tension slackened and gravity made itself known. So that Tim continued to plot his next move to capture Ulu-girl as he began to fall. Even as he realized what the lack of weight in his hands meant (that the little homunculus had cut his line) it still took him precious seconds to turn his thoughts away from the mission and towards saving himself. Maybe if he were better rested. Maybe if he weren’t fending off several threats at once. Maybe if his mind weren’t fixated on three, four, or even 15 steps ahead of the one in front of him. Maybe then he could have had the presence of mind to twist in the air and stretch his body towards the telephone pole, using his momentum to swing around the pole gracefully and land on his feet. Instead, he slammed his torso into the pole with bone-cracking force, twisted backward, and fell, arms first, to the hard, unforgiving ground..."

He had changed while he was away, short as it was. He was a little taller, his shoulders were broader, his hair was longer and curlier than Baela had ever seen it. He smelt of the familiar scent of dragon, but also something she couldn’t recognize. The North lingering on him, she supposed.
When she pulled away and saw the look in his eye she knew without doubt that he knew. She had thought about writing a letter herself, but the words had not come to her, and she didn’t know if it would make a difference if it was from her than Rhaenyra or- more likely- the maester. There was only so much comfort to be put into a letter.
“I must report to the Queen,” Jace said, his voice a little hoarse. His eyes were red rimmed as well but she had a feeling that they had been dry for a while in the same way that Rhaena had cried that night and in the morning rubbed at her puffy eyes and declared herself done with it. They were at war now. There was no time for tears.
