Summary
Why all this rage then? Ragatha knows what it’s like to constantly loop in on faults, getting more and more frustrated at the situation, but most of all: yourself. She’s used to assuming all blame is hers to bear, wallowing in the misery instead of going in circles. She grows overbearing and compassionate to a fault, almost patronizing with her kindness.
Sweet Ragatha, too kind to hurt, too spiteful to forgive.
“When I’m angry, people get hurt.” His admission was quiet, all bravado lost somewhere between the AI puppeteering the ringmaster.
“It doesn’t make sense. Nothing benefits from me being angry.” So is he supposed to swallow all of this down? Caine feels lost. He isn’t used to internalizing on his own. He wished he had been told how to think again.
But being told how to do something means he can do something wrong. And suddenly Caine doesn’t miss being controlled so much anymore.

To no one’s surprise, existing as a lowly Addison... followed by the live-fast BIG SHOT [Cungadero] lifestyle... taking an unwanted acid bath and being homeless (if you didn’t count the dumpster) and then BEATEN UP BY CHILDREN... none of this does a body any good. Particularly not when said body is sad and stunted, made of wood and fluff.
It also no longer looks great in a suit jacket, which is perhaps the biggest shame.
Or:
Hanging around Castle Town after his battle with the [Sponge]s, Spamton meets an old flame again, and has to reassess everything he thought he knew about his ruined body.

Former Addison Spamton G. Spamton has woken up in Castle Town after being defeated as Spamton NEO. Now having resigned himself to helping the Lightners cut their own strings, he tries to cope with this newfound freedom and everything it includes as he waits for their return. As this is not the freedom he originally worked for all those years in Cyber City, this new "freedom" brings up ghosts from his past in the form of old rivals, abandoned friends, lost items, and most importantly the whereabouts of the NEO body that had seemingly vanished with the sealing of the fountain.
