With a final creak, the car nose went down and he plummeted about 20 feet to the ground below.. He could only scream in agony as his leg was impaled further, as the roof of the car crunched under the force of the fall, his head cracked hard against the ceiling and the already enclosed space became as tight as a tomb.
He was upside down, still buckled, there was blood dripping into his eyes from somewhere, probably his leg. There was a horrible pain in his back because he was bent at an odd angle. The seat had bent farther forward, pinning his chest against the steering wheel, he thought he could see a bone protruding from his right leg.
Everything was oddly silent now, he couldn’t hear the rain, or the wind. There was no sound of thunder, no flashes of lightning. He thought he heard the faint sound of sirens but he was too sleepy to care. He felt like he couldn’t keep his eyes open.
"Sam... I'm sorry..."

The man says something, but he doesn’t know that Dean can’t hear him. A shorter man with hair like Sam’s passes a dagger to the blue-eyed man, and Dean flinches away, letting out a strangled noise that he can’t even hear before he can stop himself.

Summary
Evan Buckley was just a few hours old when he was abandoned at a small church in Pennsylvania. With the identify of his family unknown, Evan was sent into foster care where he'd spend the next 17 years. Eventually, he'd join the Navy SEALs in an attempt to find the one thing he's always longed for: family.
Considering that he has the worst luck in the world, it was only inevitable that he would lose that family as well. He spent three years in the Navy and two more trying to run from his past before finally moving his entire life across the country to LA. He didn't plan on becoming so attached to his team when he arrived at Station 118 but he soon finds out it was unavoidable.
He eventually lets the team in, only to get a whole lot more family than he bargained for.

Summary
When Cas OD's, Jimmy decides that the only solution for his twin brother to quit using is that his family stays even closer together. But his plan is suddenly put in jeopardy when a guilt-stricken Dean decides to leave Lawrence to enlist in the US Navy, intending to become a Navy SEAL.
This time, though, Castiel follows him all the way to California once Dean is done with boot camp in Illinois, and then to Virginia where Petty Officer Winchester has to go through Green Team to earn his trident. When Dean is drafted to join Bravo Team, one of the most elite platoons of SEAL Team 6, neither he nor Cas knows what lies ahead.
Will they make it through deployments, loss, navigating injuries and PTSD? Can Castiel hold on to his shaky sobriety through it all? Or will the little white lies they keep from each other somehow make the life they’re building collapse around them?
TL;DR: what would’ve happened if the main plot that changed everything in Patient Love didn’t happen, and what would it mean for Dean and Cas and those they love?
