“Oh my god.. Court-” Ryland took off his glasses, resting them below his chin in the most bizarre way. One end is hooked on his ear, the other digging into his neck. Six chooses not to question it. Ryland then rubbed the bridge of his nose as he began to pace in a tight circle.
“I thought you were dead. We had a memorial. They told me you died in prison.”
“Reports of my death were overexaggerated.”
“Overexaggerated? Overexaggerated!?”--------------------

Summary
“I’m sorry, Peeta.” Brio’s voice, always gruff and raspy, was soft.
“What?”
“She bet all of our money on you,” Brio says, unable to look at Peeta, “On you losing the games.” The world began to spin. Peeta backs away from Brio, staring blankly at him. His mouth opens but nothing comes out.
“She did it without talking to any of us. Said we ‘ought to make some money off of this whole thing’” Anger and panic was bubbling up inside him, betrayal and confusion threatening to overwhelm him. He’s trying to take deep breaths, to calm down, but he all but growls out his next words,
“How bad is it?” Brio doesn’t talk for a while, but as Peeta’s eyes bore into him he reveals the answer.
“Rye is thinking he might have to take out tesserae.”

Or after the 74th Hunger Games, Peeta and Katniss head home to District 12 where Peeta is in for a rude awakening when he realizes his mother had bet all of their money on his death in the games -

“Yes. Look, if I don’t make it back-”
“Don’t talk like that.” Katniss all but snaps, “I didn’t drain all that pus for nothing,”
“I know. But just in case I don’t-”
“No, Peeta. I don’t even want to discuss it.” Katniss presses her fingers to his lips to keep him from speaking.
“But I-” Peeta insists but not before Katniss' lips are on his. It was like nothing he had ever felt, every inch of him zoned in on the kiss. Energy seemed to thrum under his skin as he kissed back, soft and gentle and slow, scared that she’d pull away. It was warm and comforting, it was his dream come to life in a way much grander than he ever imagined. It was everything. She breaks away and Peeta immediately misses the kiss, wishing she would lean back in but instead she pulls the sleeping bag up around him.
“You’re not going to die. I forbid it. All right?”
“All right,” he whispers back. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe, just maybe, he had a chance at winning the Games and spending the rest of his days with Katniss. Maybe the dream of the meadow wasn’t as unattainable as he once thought.

“Mockingjay, may your aim be as true as your heart is pure.” Katniss readies her bow, training it at Snow’s head. Despite deciding to leave Katniss to kill Snow, Finnick does not move his gun. While unlikely, she could always miss and she only had one arrow. Suddenly, Katniss’ bow turned abruptly upward and the arrow flew, finding its mark in Coin’s chest. Snow burst out laughing and without hesitation Finnick trained his weapon on the President and fired without stopping. He could see the small figure that was Katniss but couldn’t make out any more detail. Only when the gun stopped firing from lack of bullets did Finnick pull it away, admiring his more than dead target.

His words are accompanied by a casual shrug, and said in the tone of someone who has clearly already given this subject some thought. Will doesn’t know what to do with that information. Jump from a building, maybe. “I mean, we’d all get flustered if Spider-Man carried us in his arms.”
Mike points to him enthusiastically. “Thank you, Lucas.”
Dustin looks between the two of them, his eyes narrowed.
“...Would we?”
“Sure,” Mike concludes. “He’s attractive. That’s not a weird thing to think.”
Will just barely resists the urge to bang his head against the table. He feels Dustin’s eyes glued to his burning face, and sinks even further down his chair.
In which Mike tells Spider-Man that he has a crush on his best friend, and Will jumps to some very wrong conclusions.

where charles realises that he is in love with edwin back after crystal basically coaches him through emotions, and niko never died, and monty's human form is now a ghost and edwin trys to learn some modern slang and hilariously fails (or maybe it's charles learning about the edwardian era to make edwin comfortable) and charles confesses to edwin and they solve cases and everyone is happy and nobody gets hurt or killed or sent to hell
it seemed like a good idea

Summary
Charles sees it happen in real time. He sees how Edwin goes from distressed to so deeply panicked it’s evident that his mind goes to a completely different place. He also sees the moment Edwin flickers and simply sinks through the floor.
Edwin phasing through one floor to get to the one below wouldn’t be anything to write home about, except for the fact that they already are on the utmost ground floor. There was nothing underneath the house but a few meters of concrete, followed by rock and dirt.
OR: Edwin gets triggered during an attack which causes him to disappear and a panicked Charles has to figure out how to find him before it's too late
