He manages to avoid it all by telling a small lie: he has a boyfriend. A perfect, convenient, totally-not-real boyfriend who keeps him “busy” on evenings and weekends.
Problem solved, one would think. Until the mandatory company Christmas gala demands attendance of said boyfriend.
Ghost is reluctantly introduced to one John “Soap” MacTavish, a charming mechanic who is willing to help out. It should’ve been simple: pretend to be in a relationship, fake a few smiles, have a few drinks, and done.
Except one night of pretending to be a couple turns into texts, favours, and a growing friendship neither of them expected. Now, Ghost finds himself tangled in something dangerously close to happiness and has to face the truth: his fake boyfriend might just be the most real thing he’s ever had.
