"Tubbo?” he kneels down again, not that Tubbo seems to care. He’s hardly even moved. He’s not even talking anymore, just breathing a bit - strange. Deep gasps, like his lungs have been punched in.
It reminds him of sunny October, peering into a concrete box, watching in horror as a firework embeds itself in Tubbo's -
It reminds him of when one of them - Tommy, more often than not, if he’s honest - would jolt themselves awake from nightmares after winning L’Manberg’s independence, phantom blades still seeking blood as they slept, and Wilbur would be tasked with calming them down.
He was never any good at it.

Las Nevadas is in lockdown after Dream's escape from Pandora's Vault, and Wilbur finds himself hiding out in lockdown with Tubbo and Michael. But something is wrong with Tubbo - and Wilbur won't stop until he can unpick what it is. (To help, of course. But bad experiences can get in the way of good intentions.)

The Christmas tree looked pathetic, if you could even call it that. It was less of a tree and more of a bush, made up of a few twigs and small, spikey ferns. It was maybe the length of Tommy's legs, or a bit shorter. Tommy didn’t want to think of it that way, but the fact of the matter was simple: the tree was shit.
Or, cclingy decorate cwilbur's house for Christmas.

Summary
The real world is fragile in a way that makes Wilbur Soot want to lay down in a dark room and never have to participate in society ever again. Things like capitalism, injustice, and the separation of Pangea aren’t quite as mind-numbingly terrifying, oddly enough, because he knows he can’t fix those things. They’re scary, but the only thing scarier than not having control is knowing you do. At the end of the day, the things that rot away his insides and take hold inside of him are his father’s disappointment, the fact that he hasn’t seen his best friend in over a year, and his little brother’s hero worship that has begun to feel like suffocation.

Tommy wasn’t ashamed of the state of his house. No, that’s not how big men feel about their living spaces. He was proud of the way his house was. It was better than normal, it was fine, Wilbur was just making a big deal out of nothing. Really, he was just looking at his feet because his shoes were extra cool. He wasn’t upset with himself, or anything like that. It was fine, really.
Or, Tommy and Wilbur do laundry together.

"He actually did want to say sorry to you. You just weren't here, so..." Tommy says, as if it's casual. Quackity knows that a fact like that could never be casual.
He's gone. Even though Wilbur Soot was always ashes and dust, now there's properly only memories to suffice as a stand in.
It's not like Wilbur and him could've ever been friends or anything of the sort. But some stupid, nostalgic part of him wished for a better ending for the two of them.
Is that really what anyone wants though?

That’s the truth, too. This space isn’t quite small enough for him to really get spooked, but it’s bland enough that the resulting boredom is killing him.
Hang on. He’s already dead.
It’s ghost-killing him, then. Ghost murder. It’s exorcising him right outta the afterlife.

Tommy had seen the list. His name wasn’t mentioned once.
Sure, he’d forgiven Wilbur, but he’d never actually apologized. Tommy wasn’t going to do anything drastic in retaliation, but it’d be nice to be recognized for once, right? It was just… well, Tommy was just getting tired. That seemed to be a running theme in his life lately.

The thing about train stations is that if you spend enough time in one, you will always see at least one person you think you know. Wilbur has been at this station for a very, very long time: still, for all the shifting shades with faces that vary from entirely strange to achingly familiar, faces which have taught him to expect to be mistaken in recognition, he knows he recognizes the woman at the newsstand. There is something about her, about her crows, about her face and voice and smile, that rings so true that Wilbur feels the familiarity in his bones.
"Call me Kristin," she'd told him when he'd first stumbled into the station. Her eyes held entire universes, and he couldn't help but stare.
