Summary
“The king must put the realm first,” Jaehaerys told Viserys shortly before his death. “The realm must always come before our own desires and dreams.”
It wasn’t until he saw the bleak future in his dream and faced the impossible choice that Viserys truly understood the old king’s words. With a heavy heart, he chose the stability of the realm over his beloved daughter.
And so, Aegon becomes the heir, while Rhaenyra is pushed down the line of succession and sent away to the grim fortress of their ancestors. Summary
An AU Fic where Daemon returns from the steps before the hunt in episode 3 and the couple are betrothed to each other after they get caught. Pretty much entirely ignores canon because I don’t see how the Dance could even happen with what I have planned. Just wanting to write about these two and give them a happy ending that they were never supposed to get.
